EPISODE SYNOPSES

Episode 101 & 102

When lawyer Mitch McDeere defends a young teen accused of murdering a classmate, he must contend with the raw emotions of the victim’s family. Meanwhile, Mitch gets an attractive job offer from a prestigious suitor, the law firm of Kinross & Clark, but the powerful firm may have a nefarious, hidden motive for offering him a partnership.

Flashforward: Chased by mysterious assailants, Mitch meets with Martin Moxon to uncover a mystery.

Episode 103

Mitch McDeere agrees to defend a colleague’s son, wanted for questioning by the police in the disappearance of his girlfriend. The case takes an unexpected turn, testing Mitch’s legal and ethical limits. Meanwhile, Mitch and his brother Ray begin to dig more deeply into the background of Sarah Holt, a client accused of murdering a sick, elderly woman.

Flashforward: As Mitch makes his escape from the scene of Martin Moxon’s death, he leaves behind a crucial piece of the puzzle.

Episode 104

Mitch McDeere defends a beautiful psychiatrist charged with murdering her patient, who she claims was stalking her. Meanwhile, Mitch is concerned that the Mafia family he once helped take down may be out for revenge.

Flashforward: Mitch seeks answers from his friend and colleague, Andrew Palmer, regarding Martin Moxon’s shocking death.

Episode 105

Mitch McDeere needs all his trial skills to help a brash young lawyer charged with murdering a dangerous loanshark. Meanwhile, Mitch and Abby are desperate to find the “smoking gun” that will force the other side to settle the Sanderson medical malpractice suit before the Sanderson family goes bankrupt. Ray uncovers a “smoking gun” of his own in the Sarah Holt case that casts a new light on her defense.
Flashforward: Mitch encounters an unexpected roadblock before he can rendezvous with Andrew Palmer.

Episode 106

When Mitch McDeere defends a new father charged with arson, the biggest obstacle to getting justice isn’t the facts or the law, but a judge with a shocking agenda. Tammy and Ray team up to solve unanswered questions about Sarah Holt and the elderly woman she is accused of murdering. Meanwhile, Abby faces a tough parenting decision when Claire requests a cell phone.

Flashforward: Mitch McDeere is questioned by the police in the death of Martin Moxon.

Episode 107

Mitch and Ray defend a naïve young man charged with armed robbery who can’t protect himself without turning on his older brother. Claire's school project causes Abby to contemplate contacting her estranged parents. Tammy accosts Martin Moxon to convince him to meet Mitch and explain his cryptic clue.

Flashforward: Mitch discovers he is being followed while on his way to meet Martin Moxon.

Episode 108

After being released from custody, Mitch and his family question why Martin Moxon died and the connection to his client, Sarah Holt. Mitch represents a scientist when a large pharmaceutical company attempts to steal his groundbreaking research. Ray finds a critical clue in the conspiracy surrounding Martin Moxon’s death. Tammy and Abby discover that someone has fed Mitch false information.

Flashforward: Mitch is awakened by a phone call that brings an ominous warning.

  3. I'm not sure "looking forward to" is the right term since I rarely like law series, but I am intrigued by the stellar cast! I will be checking it out and seeing if it can win me over.
