I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Supernatural. I hope it takes both titles home: Favorite Network TV Drama and Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show. As for the other categories, I'm rooting for Nina Dobrev in Favorite TV Actress. She's just amazing as both Elena and Katherine, playing them with ease and swag even though both are almost polar opposites. She deserves recognition for that. For Favorite TV Actor, it's Ian Somerhalder by default as neither Jensen Ackles nor Jared Padalecki made the list and Damon Salvatore is my second favorite character on TV right now after Dean. Just have to wait and watch now! Go Supernatural!
It just occurred to me how unusual it is for a show in it's 7th season to be nominated in two categories. the expectation is that by season 7 a show is just limping along.
This proves how fresh Supernatural still is, and how much it is loved, not only at home but world-wide and if it does well it will be thanks also to those fans.:-)
I kept seeing floating titles for "Best Actor", "Best Actresses" "Best Drama" or "Best New Drama"..... and yet it was an ad for CW shows. It confounded me until I realized it was People's Choice and then it all made sense... sort of. XD
Maybe their ad staff were a little spaced out when they put it together, but if from it's chaos the CW gets first place in all those categoties, it's OK with me. :-)
I know, I know, the PCA are your "most unfavourite " Awards. :-) Only Joking!
:) That's what great about TV, they put enough out that everybody can find something they relate too... even awards shows.
Honestly I think Supernatural and TVD and good dramas (I won't argue award worthiness), but even for the People's Choice I am a a bit surprised Ringer is up for Best New Drama.
Oh well, I'll just refer myself to my earlier comment. There something for everybody on TV. XD
I am so proud of PCA voters for even getting Nina Dobrev in the finals, I think this is the first time a write in has made it Good luck to both my favorite shows that are of course up against each other, Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries.
Hey, finally something I can agree with you..Ringer has some of the worse acting I have seen in a long time. Yes I am still watching it, looking forward to Misha Collins showing up and am enjoy the tiny glimpses of Jason Dohring.
If I had a vote, it would be to end it and give Jason a character as good as Logan or Josef. I would have been very happy to have had him the lead in Moonlight, love him when he is snarky.
You could have a dog of a show but as long as one could vote one or thousand times, add family and friends and hey you got yourself a best drama, best actor, best actress, etc, etc, The PCA should be like every other award show, let the People speak with one vote, then lets celebrate the winners! To me that would be fair for ALL that are nominated.......
I usually ignore polls where you can vote more than once. I don't have the time or patience to vote multiple times, and it's not really an accurate reflection of the results when it happens.
Seriously, I had to run it three times to find the 2 blurbs in all of that for Supernatural. That angers me. The boys deserve that red carpet. No one on the CW cares anywhere near for their fans like Jensen and Jared to. The show has always been fantastic. I sure hope the fans didn't let them down. I know after the video the boys sent out that PCA was inundated, but too late?????
I have been saying the same thing for a long time! It amazes me just how many people do vote multiple times. The idea of a PCA is a good one,but somewhere along the line they lost all credibility with this voting practice.
Just think how boring it would be if we all liked the same thing.. We wouldn't even need sites like Spoiler tv to air our views 'cause we would all be cooing at one another about how great the only scripted show on Tv was!
Shudder, shudder, shudder! I'm so glad we have multiple choices including that of switching off the TV if we don't like anything :-)
TDV and SPN are definitively the most stupid show i ever saw. Having them nominated for anything just goes to show for sad (and made of teen girl) PCA actually is.
Well, one person one vote might seem the fairer way of doing things but if you look at it objectively it does turn out fair just the same, because those who really are passionate about their show are willing to sacrifice time and energy to vote multiple times for that show, and also to go to the bother of inviting friends and relatives to do so.
Nothing prohibits fans of any show to do the same, therefore if a show wins it means that it's fan-base is numerous and motivated enough, and in the end the most popular and loved show triumphs!
After all we are voting for tv shows not for life or death decisions.
I totally agree! I'm tired of it, CW should promote SPN better. I really like TVD but it can't compare with SPN and still it gets promoted thousands times more, and that's really unfair and frustrating. it's as much frustrating as it is seeing Ian nominated for best actor when neither Jensen or Jared are there... oh well, "de gustibus non disputandum est", right? tsk...
SPN is mainly split between male in female equally, and the age range average is in the 30s. But thank you so much for the PCA wishes we hope OUR show wins:)
I expected the CW to promote TVD more than SPN because it has entrants in more categories than SPN, and it's the show with the best CW ratings but of the scenes that there are for SPN there's a noticeably less Sam scenes than Dean scenes, which is also expected (unfortunately). (Not a bash of Dean, but a bash of The CW person(s) that assembled these scenes from all clips of CW shows).
Ian Somerholder; neither JA nor JP were on the PCA nominees for "Best Actor", if you wanted to vote for either of them you had to "write them in", and it's more time consuming to write out their full names and the full name of the show then click a radio button multiple times.
Sadly, I think this is the MOST advertising CW has done for SPN in a VERY long time. I remember back when the nominees were being decided, seeing a commercial on CW for the PCA awards, and SPN wasn't even pictured, once. Pissed me off. I'm amazed to see as much of SPN as they showed here. Oh why did they have to show the lame levi tooth head though.... More BA Dean and Sam in 40s gangster garb please!
I always find it funny when someone calls a show or person stupid, and they themselves are incapable of using proper grammar or sounding remotely intelligent.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I hope Supernatural takes first prizes but I'll be prudent and say "hope for victory but prepare yourself for defeat!" :-)
ReplyDeleteTo much TVD not enough SPN.

ReplyDeleteCW.... will you please start promoting Supernatural better, now?
ReplyDeletelol, "TV to talk about"...just not on their own forums any more huh :s
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine why is Blake Lively there and not Leighton Meester... oh yes, People's Choice!! XD
ReplyDeleteWow that was confusing!

ReplyDeleteThanks! Good luck SPN and Nina and Ian!
ReplyDeleteTV needs more Jason Dohring!
ReplyDeleteI just cannot decide if I want Ringer to stay on for his minor role or if I want it cancelled (or his role over) so he can get on a new series....
The SPN clips were awesome!
ReplyDelete"Supernatural" for its category, and Somerhalder for his. Beyond that, I don't care.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a vote, it would be to end it and give Jason a character as good as Logan or Josef. I would have been very happy to have had him the lead in Moonlight, love him when he is snarky.

ReplyDeleteAs always, totally with you sister! ;-)
ReplyDeleteNo credibility here.
Big sigh...

ReplyDeleteNice promo, looking forward to the awards and hopefully Supernatural and TVD get something!
ReplyDeleteI actually like this promo, lol. Makes me want to watch the shows I don't already.
ReplyDeleteMore importantly - CHUCK TELLS BLAIR LOVE DOESN'T JUST DISAPPEAR! HE IS STILL ALIVE AND CB CONTINUES TO BE ON LIKE DONKEY KONG.

ReplyDeleteYes Jini i do believe we are sisters and i treasure it!!! :)))))) :D
ReplyDeleteWow! Not much though and care into putting this together and no surprise even less for Supernatural.
ReplyDeleteLol Thank you Laura! :-D
ReplyDeleteI voted for supernatural every GOD DAMN DAY! it better win or I be really pissed off.
ReplyDeletePlease start promoting Supernatural more!! Really hope it takes home the prizes!!
ReplyDeleteI noticed that too. Honestly, I give up at this point.
ReplyDeleteAssbutt.
ReplyDeleteWhich one was up for Best Actor?
ReplyDeleteOh, nevermind. lol
ReplyDeleteAlso, what is up with Disqus?
I can't edit my posts anymore?
Saw lots of Chuck Bass, Sabrina, Damon, Stefan, Elena, Nikita, Bridget, and the chick from Secret Circle. They're all up for best actor/actress?
ReplyDeleteI've had a couple of errors come up, asking me to make sure I'm logged in. Try logging out and then in again maybe?
