The episode titles make Alcatraz sound like a procedural. That's not good. BTW, is 1.03 actually titled "Unknown" or is the title itself just unknown?
ReplyDeleteI think that's the actual title.
ReplyDeleteOh so all the titles are after the missing inmate of the week
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to this.
ReplyDeleteI bet it's gonna be like Fringe. Starting off like a procedural and become a heavily serialized show.
ReplyDeleteI was very excited for this yet as time goes by I kinda lost interest already .. I'll still catch the premiere and make up my mind..
ReplyDeleteMmmm! Don't know what to make of these titles.
ReplyDeleteIs every episode going to dwell on a different story about each inmate, who has had some supernatural or not experience, or are all the individual stories going to be eventually spun together like a spider's web.
I suppose we will just have to wait and see but I'm not really getting positive vibes about Alcatraz.
I hope I'm wrong because Alias and Lost gave me some gripping TV moments and it would be great to repeat that experience.
Kind of odd. Seems like a pattern that could get old fast though.
ReplyDeleteAlcatraz will be bvery similar to Person of Interest. Procedural with some 'mythology' in the background, produced by J.J. Abrams, with a famous actor - one known from Lost (Garcia/Emerson), one other (Neill/Caviezel), only a good screenwriter like Nolan is missing (Sarnoff?).
ReplyDeleteI actually enjoyed POI, but also expected more than that of Alcatraz.
Ugh, this is making it look even more like 'monster of the week' for me, which is what I hoped this wouldn't become :(
ReplyDeleteSounds good! Are these individual prisoners or something?
ReplyDeleteAll named after the inmates, that's different!
ReplyDeleteMe too, but I still think it could become more FRINGE/Alias-esque. In some ways the bland episode titles could be deceiving, as perhaps some of them will have some niffty mythology in them...Except for those of us who read spoilers, non spoiler fold won't know at all what's coming...
ReplyDeleteLike I said to Sandi, it could be a good thing for the non spoiler readers...these episode titles don't give any plot ideas away. I don't mind if it starts of a little procedural, but I hope it eventually goes down the FRINGE and ALIAS path.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice that they're giving Alcatraz an eight episode, uninterrupted start. It's more than Fringe got this fall.
ReplyDeleteInteresting titles, cannot wait to see what these inmates did to deserve such accommodations, lol.
