I was hoping for a little bit more information, maybe something about those new characters coming in. But this was basically about what I expected anyway.
They always say just about what you expect... .which is to say not much of anything other than vague outlines of possibilities. XD
I'm currently uploading the making of the barn scene if you want to update your post with a region free video. The ETA is about 9 or 10 minutes according to Springboard.
The burden of being a leader and having to make all those decisions, some of them not turning out to be the best possible, definietly takes its toll on Rick and starts going down a dark road.
I read somewhere that with Shane surviving, they kind of split the Rick character into Rick/Shane with Shane going down the dark path and Rick trying to stay positive. Not having read the comics does this seem reasonable? I guess my question is do Rick & Shane from the show fulfill the role of just Rick in the comics?
If so, it makes me wonder if Rick's going down a darker path spells bad news for Shane. We don't need 2 Shane's ....
In the comics Rick's development started at Hershel's farm. Maybe a bit earlier, but the story at Wilshire Estates wasn't part of the TV show. Therefore it's a bit hard to tell, but it looks that way for sure. And I'm already predicting that Shane will die during a big confrontation with Rick in the season 2 finale. At least that would be my guess.
I think this would be good - it will bring so much more depth to Rick's character and I think a better balance of the two polar opposites they are now.
Shane is just so out there on the ragged edge and Rick seems a bit boring. I would rather have one character that swings the pendulum which is not an easy task but Andrew Lincoln is fab - I would love to see it unfold :) Thanks
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteGood to see that the cast is as enthusiastic about the show as we all are.
ReplyDeleteT-Dogg said more in this interview than on the show.
Rick is going to get badass? I wanna see that.
Carl wants to participate as much as the adults. We've been starting to see that happen, especially with his desire to learn to shoot.

Carl laid in bed for 5 episodes ... can't blame him for wanting to get out there and kick some undead ass.
