Paul Wesley and his wife, actress Torrey DeVitto, can start carpooling to work.
The actress, who has a recurring role on ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars, has been tapped to recur on the CW's The Vampire Diaries, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.

DeVitto, who married Wesley in April, will play Mary, an intelligent young doctor intrigued by Alaric's (Matt Davis) powers of recovery on the CW's vampire drama. She'll appear in Episodes 310 and 311 with a strong likelihood to continue on afterward.

    Well, that's gonna be awkward. I like her, though. I wish they took her character in PLL in the same direction as in books, I think she would do amazing with that material.

    Okay I've got to say it cuz its been driving me crazy...I so think this is going to turn out to be Meredith. Obviously slightly different from how she is in the books but in early casting notices Rebekah had a different name and I'm pretty sure someone else did too.

    Just my thoughts I could be totally wrong! I do think now would be the perfect time to introduce her though with all the Klaus stuff going on.
