Yes, it's true, "Supernatural" fans. One of the brothers Winchester is headed down the aisle in the Nov. 11th episode. Given the fact that neither Sam (Jared Padalecki) nor Dean (Jensen Ackles) is currently romantically involved, unless you count Dean's affinity for Asian cartoon porn, the wedding comes as a bit of a surprise.
It's true that there's a bit of a whirlwind courtship involved -- but it's not quite as speedy as you think, because the bride in this unholy union is someone we've seen before... more than once.
We're sworn to secrecy as to who the lucky lady is (and we're also not allowed to tell you which brother is getting fitted for the groom's tux) but we can tell you this: the Winchester involved is not getting married as part of a job or an undercover operation. He's totally into it.

ReplyDeleteLisa and Dean perhaps (the memory erasing did not last from season 5)? Don't think it could be Sam and Becky because there is no connection there at all. What if one of the boys has amnesia and is tricked into a fake marriage? Is this the time warp episode where Dean goes back in time? Jo is already gone, but she and Dean would make a good couple. Ruby is gone (but not really), so she could come back from the dead I guess. This will keep us guessing, that's for sure! Is this episode supposed to be aired before the holiday break?

ReplyDeleteI may be the only person in the fandom left but I really want to see Adrianne Palicki back. I would love for it to be Sam and Jess. Maybe it's something heartbreaking like, the brothers do something and are given one thing so Sam gets to see Jess again and he decides not to waste any time. They get married on their one night together and then she's dead again but he always has the memory of marrying the woman he wanted to.

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see who it is - but if it's Becky I will throw something at my tv. She was without doubt THE most annoying character in the history of Supernatural. I always try to keep my sense of humor intact when it comes to my show, but I would need to be locked in the panic room (supposing it still existed) if it was her. Anything else I could tolerate. I think. Maybe.

ReplyDeleteMy first thought was Meg (if it was her it could be either of the boys, but still. More likely Sam.) seeing as the unholy union thing makes it sound like the 'bride' isn't human. And you can count on one hand the number of surviving female characters, let alone recurring ones!
So...Meg? Lisa? (Please no. I so hope she's gone for good.) BECKY? Where is all the Becky suggestions coming from? Hm. SHERIFF MILLS? How many other female characters are there that are still alive and seen more than once?
But they don't have to be alive...oh, that certainly broadens the possibilities. I have no idea.

ReplyDeleteI can for Sam, but Dean has openly admitted that he does not believe he will have have that life, although he wants it. He's afraid of someone getting hurt. Last proved that when he had Lisa and Ben's memories wiped as far as he was concerned.

That's probably a reason the Zap2it description says "unholy union"; it's tongue-in-cheek speak because Becky was "just drawn that way" ;) to be an *deliberately* annoying character. The episode has been described as semi-meta and humorous. I'm going with the "Becky doses Sam with a love potion" as the insider source described.
ReplyDeleteWhy was Sammy's comment rude? "Destiel" is NOT canon. If fact writers, even BE, seemed to have backed away from S5-6 slashy overtones to stress that Castiel was "like a brother" to Dean and that's it. "Like a Brother" not "Lover".

ReplyDeleteI love Becky, I found her engagingly annoying. However, if she is the one I kind of dread her going to those extremes to get what she wants. She actually "knows" there is a heaven and a hell... how can she chance going to hell?!? No matter how funny I would find seeing Sam go all gaga over little annoying Becky (and Dean's reaction to it), I think it would make me really sad to see her going dark side... Unless, in her mind she is saving Sam. I'm going to wait and see...

Meg! I never even thought of her because she would probably rather chop the guys up for sushi... But, if it would tick off Dean, she might do it just for fun! However, Dean would tie Sam up before letting him marry Meg... Unless we don't know the "bride" is Meg at the time. Can you imagine Meg dosing Sam with something, getting him down the aisle, then her letting Dean know as she drives away with a happily kidnapped Sam. That sounds like a great fan fiction to me :-)

ReplyDeleteIf your question was meant to be Who's BeckY? She was a fan girl of of the books Chuck wrote. She was hot after Sam and wrote slash fan fiction. She also was the one who got the boys to the first Supernatural convention. She has only appeared twice in Season 5 and was obnoxious and totally disliked (that's a nice word for it) by most of the fandom.

I've liked Meg #2 just as much, if not more than, Meg #1. I think Rachel Miner has done an admirable job following Nicki Aycox in the role.

Yes, I kind of like Becky, too, and she's a chica that I can imagine going to the extreme of snagging her guy by using a love potion which will likely backfire in some horrible but funny way. She "stole" Chuck's phone in TRG to send Sam a text saying that Chuck was in trouble. I just wonder how Sam meets up with her again. In the new sneak peek Dean says something about Sam going on some Vision Quest/Walkabout/"One with the land" so maybe Sam encounters her at some kind of ashram/commune or something.
