Supernatural - Season 7 - Casting News - Meghan Ory to Guest

Nov 11, 2011

Thanks to Bruce_F for the heads up.

Fans of ABC's "Once Upon a Time" recognize Meghan Ory as the famed Little Red Riding Hood, otherwise known as the smart-mouthed Ruby.

This winter, we'll see a whole new side to her in a one-episode guest gig on "Supernatural". Zap2it has confirmed that Ory will star as Sally, a "working girl" (ahem) who has quite a scare. She turns to Sam (Jared Padalecki) for help out of her spooky situation.

Luckily, "Supernatural" fans won't have to wait long after the holidays for the show to return -- the spring premiere airs January 6, 2012. Ory will appear in that first episode of the year. She didn't have to go far for her little visit to the Winchesters. "Once Upon a Time" and "Supernatural" are neighbors -- both shows shoot in Vancouver.

We're not sure if Ory will share scenes with Jensen Ackles -- but we've got our fingers crossed. Ory and Ackles starred together in one of our favorite "Dark Angel" episodes, "The Berrisford Agenda," back in 2002

  2. I was wondering how long it would take for you guys to post this, then I figured you already had and I just missed it. I thought you guys already knew about it since I read this in an interview with Meghan Ory the day Jared's dog passed. I also heard it was going to be a three-parter.

She will play a working girl...?
*Falls to knees and rejoices, shouting at the sky*
    THANK YOU, GOD!"

  4. I figured I just couldn't find the posted article. With the way my computer has been acting up, and the way the SPN fandom is ALWAYS on top of things I figured there was no way someone hadn't already posted it. lol

  5. I don't like "Once Upon a Time," and I never saw "Dark Angel," so I don't know who this woman is. (One of these days I need to sit down and watch "Dark Angel.") Obviously she's a genre actor, though, so this should be fun.

  7. I don't watch that show, so I have no clue who she is... But I hope she's a good actor!

  8. I got so confused for a second when I read the name Ruby. I was like, this chick definitely never played Ruby, and then I realized what they were actually saying.
I'll be more excited for this by the time the episode airs, I'm planning on catching up on OUAT (among other things) over the winter hiatus.

  9. I saw that, too. Rather than use "Submit Scoop" since this is definitely third hand info I'll tell where I found it.First,  http://ontd-spnparty.livejournal.com/481248.html > > then in an embedded link http://poptimal.com/2011/11/once-upon-a-time-interview-with-meghan-ory/

    " ... Meghan Ory
will appear on a three-part episode of Supernatural “She couldn’t tell us much
about the episode except to say that it’s ‘really spooky."

  12. She was the daughter Jensen's character fell in love with?  Tf she is, they had a chemistry.  Sounds like a fantastic episode from what little bit we know.

  13. Whoa!  I didn't recognize Red from Berrisford Agenda.  That's my favorite Dark Angel episode of all.  Interesting that a "working girl" turns to Sam instead of Dean.  I'd think you'd find Dean in closer proximity to where they hang out.
