"You owe me one, bitch. Like 10 million dollars."
—Juliet

I'm conflicted about tonight's episode of Ringer. On one hand, the show is definitely not scared to answer questions and put its characters in very scary situations — or at least, in situations where they will be exposed. For example, Bridget telling Andrew and Henry about… well herself, essentially. But on the other hand, how simpleminded are these people? …

  2. Good points. I watch each show saying, "No. Don't do it" a lot of times. So true about Juliet's carelessness and deserving her punishment. I did feel sorry for her, though. Biggest dumbo is Machado in not having a set of Siobhan's fingerprints on file, or if he does, not checking "Mrs. Martin" each time he sees her. Hasn't he seen enough twin-switching stories on TV? I did not expect  Charlie as Siobhan's accomplice. Total surprise.

  3. I feel like that's going to be a recurring theme with this show - it's one that revolves around secrecy and deception, so if they answer too many of our questions, the show loses its purpose.  I don't think it's a serious danger, but I just hope they don't take it too far, like I believe writers did with Lost and Heroes.

  5. I feel that this shows keeps improving with each episode. I like the fact that they finally addressed the whole pregnancy thing and the Gemma situation with surprising results.
So much happened and it kept me entertained that's for sure.

  6. I keep waiting for the ever growing list of WTF moments to outweigh the entertainment value of the series. Each episode more than a handful of implausible to outright ridiculous events happen and we are left wondering how anyone can accept the misinformation, the circumstances or the stories. Especially some one who has lived with and/or slept with said modern Calamity Jane.

I mean at least on I Love Lucy Ricky gave Lucy one or two "You got some 'splaining to do!" lectures every episode. Bridget is pretty much unchecked on Ringer.

So far entertainment value is still winning out versus implausible scenarios..... but how long can it last?

  7. Just saw the episode, enjoyed your review too! Juliet is getting annoying, doesnt she know ppl you party with aren't generally your real friends? I doubt she even has any close friends. The fake pregnancy reminded me of Smallville except it was Lex faking Lana's pregnancy (can you say weird? I thought that whole story line was creepy). I think Gemma will be alive...also she must have THE best nanny cause we never see the kids (not cast yet probably) and Henry doesnt even act like he has kids.
