VD is the only show I watch that doesn’t cease to amaze me for each episode! I was wickedly surprised by Elena stabbing rebekeh (which I thought was a bad Idea I think they would’ve had a better chance with her on their side) and now when Rebekeh does eventually return she will be really pist (again) but hopefully Elijah will come back with her and maybe she won’t get that mad. I was also surprised by Mikael attacking Stefan but it makes sense. I don’t mind Tyler being an enemy now even without reading the books I knew from day one it would happen if they kept him a regular for each season. Lastly HOLY CRAP!!!! I Knew they weren’t going to kill Klaus so quick as he is a main character but I DID NOT SEE HIM killing Mikael whoa!! Man why do they have to kill all the great actors who are also originals lol!? Wow and I think Mikael is actually dead this time. I really think Elena shouldn’t have killed rebekeh! AND YAY FOR KATHERINE THAT WAS AWSOME!!! I really thought it was elena and that she would come back to life somehow! Man o man im actually a little confused by Katherine and Stefan’s plan can anyone help give me the short version please? And lol go Stefan for taking one large step over Klaus and it looks like he can take back his humanity when he wants to and elena is I bet now a whole lot more loving damon right about now. Now Stefan needs to bring Elijah back, then Rebekah (so Elijah can calm her down lol). Great ending for the fall!
I didn't like Caroline being sidelined again! (Too much awesome for 1 episode I suppose!) but I liked the way everything turned out. How many times am I going to see Sebastian Roche' die on my favorite tv series?
Also, the twist with Stefan and Katherine's alternative plan to keep Damon alive was great.
lol he died too early on Fringe too. O.o Anyone noticing a trend here? ATTENTION ALL WRITERS: please try to NOT kill off the awesome Sebastian Roche! He's kind've a big deal, you know?
Another awesome rocking ep! I loved the sleight of hand with Katherine/Elena (how awesome is it to have the Kat back? - very)... although I'm not so sold on that if Klaus was offed (and we all know that he wouldn't be) that between Katherine and Damon and whoever else that they couldn't finish off the Hybrids... Anyways wasn't expecting Mikael to be killed off so quickly, but it sets the stage for the next chapter aka Stefan's Revenge (if the other Originals will play nicely) against Klaus... And of course now that the ONLY thing that could've killed Klaus in his current form is gone. not sure what they will have to come up with, but with the writers on this show we wont have to wait for long (except for a hellatus... boo)
I cry foul. Or....after a few deep breaths...make a calm and serene request for someone to please explain to me how Damon stabs Klaus with the super special one of a kind stake that everyone says is the only thing that can kill him...and not only does Klaus not die (Damon pulls it out to try again...what?) but that same stake kills Mikael the second he's stabbed with it.
Foul. I love a good villains but not when you warp the rules you've set up to keep them around.
I will attempt to be reasonable and hold off on my "Awful" score until someone convinces me they didn't tap dance on their rules to keep Klaus alive. (and I wouldn't really give it an "Awful" with that one exception...was a pretty derned good ep) except for the FOUL!
prpleight Damon missed Klaus's heart - he planned to stab him from the back but Klaus turned around in the last moment... whereas Klaus aimed right at Mikael's heart... I had to rewind the scene to be sure, but it makes sense
wow, not what i was expecting at all i don't like the fact that Caroline wasn't in on the plan (but Matt was?? what's up with that) and the Bonnie was again complaining about Jeremy (maybe that's just cause i'm an Anna fan) but besides this it was awasome!!!! LOVED the last Delena scene (damn those cellphones) I was a little confused by Katherine & Stefan's plan at first, but now i think i get it, i just hope this isn't the last we'll see of Katherine cause it really sounded like she was saying goodbye Also didn't like the fact that they daggered Rebekah, i think they could have made things even more interesting if she had also been there WHY do we have to wait so long till' the next epi
Killing Becca? Bad idea! They could need her (helping kill Klaus, compelling the hybrids, …). Hope, they bring her back soon! She'll be really PO. Who cares? Give her some valium or lithium. They need her. I think Mikael is gone for good. Too bad. How are the chances that there is another piece of the tree? Anyone thought of calling mama witch? Maybe she has an idea. Stefan shouldn't betray them. For his freedom? If Klaus would be dead Stefan would be free too. And they could save Damon by killing the hybrids. Or compelling them. Too bad for Ty and Caroline. But what did he expected? That she would stay loyal to him while he is loyal only to Klaus? As long as he is bound to Klaus he cannot be trusted. And one more thing that was bugging me. What was Stefans speech about Elena and her history with dances about? Those responsible for the corpses and the blood bath were (by 99%) Klaus, Stefan and Damon. And since Damon behaves, if Klaus and Stefan stay away from the party nothing should happen. Loved the end. Now they just have to wake all the originals so they can tear Klaus apart. If they find out that Klaus killed their mother and their father they'll be glad to help. I know I would.
I think when Mikeal said it wouldn't kill him if the Hybrids tore him apart, that it was the producers way of explaining why it wouldn't work for Klaus.
Care got injected with something again :( I really hope writers have some new story in mind for Care next year. I'd love to see her dealing with something other than boyfriend drama or girlfriends' boyfriends drama. Also, Katherine stole the show.
Than tear his heart out. It kills humans, werewolves, vampires …
Tear him apart and burry the parts separate. It worked for the Judge in Buffy (S2). He could not be killed. So they teared him into pieces and buried them separate so he couldn't put himself back together.
Or, if you want to hear MY diabolical plan …
The original witch put a spell on Klaus to bind his wolf side. That is what I would do. And I would go a step further. And also bind his vampire side. What would be left is a weak and psychotic human. Which I would compel to not kill himself or try to become a vampire again. To live as human would be a fate worse than death. For Klaus it would.
Well, we got a witch. And the necklace to communicate with the original witch (we still don't know how she did it).
But the price would be gigantic. As mama witch said: don't mess with the spirits.
I watched a third time and you're right. Klaus turned a moment before Damon reached him. Now I'm fussing, in my mind, at the director because Damon's posture wasn't aimed for a heart blow. :-) And I'm still having trouble with the no reaction at all when Klaus was stabbed vs immediate flames when Michael was stabbed. But I still feel let down by the writers because of that scene. IMHO the best version of that scene would not have cause viewers to be asking themselves if they broke their own rules or not. I'm so emotional about the issue because this show is just so well written that something like this royally annoys me. I've gotten used to expecting more. However. I will retract my cry of foul and make my check mark in the poll. Thanks for getting me to take a third look.
I thought the same thing myself. Was kind of upset but than my granddaughter says, well Nana he is a hybrid. Things just might take longer for them. She made me laugh.
I liked the almost friendly moment between Elena and Rebekah.. you know.. before Elena literally stabbed her in the back.. I hope we'll see more of her after the hiatus - I really grew to like her!
LOVED the showdown between Klaus and Mikael.. I think Sebastian Roche is fantastic.. and it gave Joseph Morgan a chance to really show some range.
I also loved the moment that Elena and Damon shared after the plan failed - it was really sweet to see her comforting him, especially since he usually seems so cocky and self-assured.
I'm glad we have snarky Stefan for a little while longer, though this hiatus is going to be hell!
Good episode, even though I would have preferred that Damon kill Klaus.
- I didn't think I could get on board with Damon & Elena but I'm starting to come around. - All of this Katherine "hit & run" stuff is getting on my nerves. I wish she would stay in Mystic Falls. - Strangely enough, when Damon was about to stake Tyler I seemed okay with it happening. Leave it to Bonnie to be the Debbie Downer. :) - I was impressed and a little concerned that Elena staked Rebekah. Either way, it was a good scene. - Mikael dying was a crappy development. I could have gone for a lot more episodes with him in them.
When TVD comes back...
- I hope Elena de-stakes Rebekah right away. - I'd like to see more Sheriff Forbes, especially in scenes with Damon. - More Katherine and less Elena would be a nice change. - Don't force Jeremy or Matt into episodes if there aren't good storylines for them. - Find away to kill Klaus sooner rather than later. (It'll won't happen.)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Glad to see Klaus made it out alive, and that the door is open for Rebecca to return.
ReplyDeleteso is stefan back to normal?? but he wants revenge now?
ReplyDeleteTOTALLY AWESOME!!!!
ReplyDeleteyea lol i agree he died to early to on Supernatural lol I liked his Balthazar
ReplyDeleteI loved it, but once again I was hoping an Elijah awakening would happen!

ReplyDeletePretty lame for a mid-season finale, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteAwesome episode! So glad Katherine's back! but now we're supposed to blieve she's "going away" again... Can't wait for january to come!!

this is confusing: Klaus did not recognize Katherine / vampire? The other hybrid smelled vampire / Damon immediately.

I'm pretty sure they can't "smell" each other. This isn't the first time the swap confused vampires and werewolves.
ReplyDeleteMore like he knew who Damon was.

ReplyDeleteThis poll really needs a higher option then awesome.

I second that. He was the best. I really was hoping he would stay a bit longer on VD tho...oh well (sigh)

I miss Balthazar :(
ReplyDeleteI didn't get that either - you'd think that an original vampire would recognize Katherine, especially since he hunted her for centuries...
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of LAME mid-season finale is this?! This show used to be good... now it's utter s$!t.
ReplyDeleteI knew it was Katherine because her hair was curly and she was too fidgety and not talkative enough to be Elena.
ReplyDeleteI must be rusty - I didn't catch on to that one until Mikael stabbed her
ReplyDeleteAMAZING! so mannyy surrprisess!!! a little confusing and i dont really understand how klaus didnt reconize katherine but stilll soooo GOOODD!!!
ReplyDelete"I didn't like Caroline being sidelined again!"
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, Rebekah was also sidelined so think of it as a no blondes situation. There's a nice symmetry to it. :)
Good episode, even though I would have preferred that Damon kill Klaus.
