Her singing of the Barenaked Ladies was cute, but not much else to her appearance. But I'm sure she'd rather hear herself be called the Slutty Pumpkin than Mrs. Tom Cruise.
I kinda like Katie but this was not a good episode for me. After 5 years of waiting to fin the Slutty Pumpkin it was quite the let down for the viewer as well as Ted!
The Marshall and Lily stuff was not funny, the Ted and Naomi bits were not overly funny, but at least the Barnie and Robin stuff was great!
I would have ceirtanly liked it better if at the end they had made clear that Naomi was a female Ted, it would have made overall more sense, about idealization and expectations and whatnot. I felt yhat the concepts of the episode where good, but lacked a nice plishing, some things didn't work well, even the Hoser!Barney story fell kinda flat at the end.
This episode honestly felt like it was written in Season 5 when all the characters became caricatures of themselves. They moved away from that in the second half of S6 and this season has been pretty good about avoiding it until now. Here's hoping it doesn't happen again.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I loved it! Katie Holmes was good. LOL at Canadian!Barney.
ReplyDeleteWTF is up with Ted repeatedly Mosbying girls? STOP THAT.
I was pleasantly surprised - I'm not a huge fan of Katie Holmes, but this was a good episode
