Just so-so, for me. Having Gates work with Beckett could have been a fantastic chance to fill out Gates's character, but instead all we saw was more of her being disapproving, while the absence of Beckett / Castle scenes left a real hole in the episode. Not terrible, but felt like it could have been much more.
Great episode! Loved to part with the boys dressed up as Elvis, and the part at the end with Alexis running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to clean the loft up! XD!!!
ok, so after hearing so many complaints about this episode, I decided to watch it. I thought it was great. Love the collaboration between Beckett and Gates. Together they can make one hell of a team. And the whole Elvis thing going on? Hilarious XD. On a side note, Alexis being Alexis makes me feel happy. True that she tries to throw a party like a normal rebellious teenager does, but also true to the character, she tries to clean things off. And the whole thing is (once again) hilarious XD. And hey, I wonder how the real bachelor party for Ryan goes? All in all, a classic Castle episode (ok except the lack of Caskett. well not that it really lacks anyway, I mean you got to see how defensive of Castle Beckett is. oh and no Martha, really? BUT, consider what happened to Susan, I can tolerate this. Always wish her the best from the bottom of my heart) Next week (ok, 2 weeks from now. WHAT THE HELL?) looks intense. Here comes other freaking Emmy-worthy scenes from this amazing show!
pretty great episode - so different from last week's! I love how Castle and Beckett can work together really well, even when separated, as we've seen two weeks in a row. I think it showed the Captain that he can hold his own, even if he isn't a "real" cop!
it was alright, there were a few interesting moments but definitely nothing as good as last week's hostage episode... the next one looks good though :)
It was generally a good episode. Loved the Elvis outfits and I liked that we saw a bit more of Capt. Gates - I warmed to her a bit and she seemed a bit more accepting of Castle (although I do like it when she levels him with a stare). The Alexis parts were quite funny as well.
I enjoyed this one. It seemed like the plot twisted one too many times but still a solid episode. I was more pleased with them showing Alexis having to deal with bad decisions, which was something that had irked me in the past -- because I refuse to believe any teenager has things that well together.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Loved it
ReplyDeleteLoved it. The guys dressed up as Elvis was great. They even got into character for the rest of their time wearing the outfits.
ReplyDeleteI love the dramatic episodes but these lighthearted fun ones are what really make the show so special.
That was a great episode. Those 3 dressed up and in character was fun, and also once again Alexis shows who the adult is in the family lol
ReplyDeletei kind of liked them separated.

I'm gonna say awesome just for the Elvises and Beckett and Gates. The rest was meh.
ReplyDeleteAs if they could have shown us even a second of a Richard Castle bachelor party on network tv.

ReplyDeleteI loved it! It was really good.
ReplyDeleteit was a filler episode. I actually expected a little more interaction between Castle and Beckett.
