Great!! Stana was amazing, thing is I wish it were longer. How did she get out of the police building with the snipers gun strapped to her back and no one notice?
This episode was both the most incredible and the most painful forty minutes of television I have ever watched. And I mean that in the best way. I don't even have enough words of praise in my vocabulary to describe the talents of the actors, writers, directors, composers. That was beyond extraordinary.
A well paced intense episode. They didn't overdo Beckett's PTSD and it all looked very natural and heartfelt. Great acting from Stana and the rest of the cast. Love how Esposito and Castle worked together to make sure Kate is okay. Oh, and finally the new captain saw that Castle is not completely worthless. ;) It was great to finally seeher appreciate his contribution.
Best episode ever!! Great work for Stana and Jon!! judos guys!! BRAVO to the writing/directing/producers....we don't thank them enough for their great work!! thanks guys for such a great show!
Great episode! I thought Stana Katic ROCKED!!! I loved how we saw her digression into full PTSD by the middle of the episode. I liked that Jon/Beckett scene, it was great seeing Jon try to talk to Beckett about her shooting. Only problem I saw though was, why didn't Jon do it on his own? Why did Castle have to prompt Jon to talk to her?
fantastic ep! Great acting by Jon H, and of course Stana.... I loved seeing that it appears that the Capt also is starting to warm up to Castle a little.... Great job by all involved.
Very painful to watch. Stana and Jon did a fantastic job. The ending left me hopeful. The wall is coming down. Emmy worthy. But what do I know? I just watch TV for the past 20 years.
Well, as previously hyped (and expected) Stana's acting was superb.
The way she pulled off the last scene...so realistic and touching. It was subtler than most of the other scenes, but more powerful and defining IMO, especially the moment in which she looks towards the window to avoid looking her shrink directly (and breaking down), upwards to avoid crying and stretching her neck not to choke. Very realistic.
what a fantastic episode.. it was heartbreaking to see Beckett struggling so much, and was a real testament to Stana's acting. I also thought Esposito really shined
All the awards for @Stana_Katic. Really... she deserves EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! Great episode, great acting, awesome story and writing. This is why I love Castle.
Loved this episode - they went into Beckett's PTSD and issue's over the shooting without letting it become melodrama or completely unrealistic, and also allowed other things to be going on throughout the episode - Castle's contribution through the paintings of the masters, the Captain finally starting to warm up to him a little and the team dynamics really shining through.
This was an outstanding episode,Beckett did a fine job,and what surprised me was the captain,in the last 2 episodes we are seeing another side of her that i didn't expect until later in the season.Beckett's finally coming to terms with PTSD but that is just a start,if they sweep it under the rug,or if they drag it on to long, they will lose what Castle, makes Castle.
No doubt about it Stana's acting was top notch! She did an amazing job ! I was a bit disappointed though that they didn't have Castle a little more involved in 'helping' Kate through this episode. I was looking forward to him comforting her a little more. I love that he and Esposito worked together to make sure Kate was ok but I wanted MORE Castle/Beckett tender moments and I thought the story line of this episode gave lots of opportunity for that but went unused. So I say 'awesome' for Stana's acting but just 'ok' overall.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
This was an amazing episode. One of the best. Also, amazing acting from Stana and Jon.
ReplyDeleteGreat!! Stana was amazing, thing is I wish it were longer.

Stana Katic is extraordinary. What a tour de force for her tonight!
ReplyDeleteThe episode was moving and powerful, and - especially with that note of hope in the closing moments - a thing of great beauty.
Now will _someone_ please hand that woman an Emmy?!
Great episode!
ReplyDeleteOh hey "great" and "okay" get out of here.
ReplyDelete:) totally awesome episode
ReplyDeleteI'm trying not to let the absence of a "Cuffed" promo taint my feelings towards the episode lol.
ReplyDeleteIt was a great episode. Not one of my top five but it is up there.
A-MA-ZING! Stana, girl, you shine on this one! And now, another 2 week wait till Cuffed. Hate these hiatus.
ReplyDeleteShattering. Stana Katic's performance shook me to the ground!
ReplyDelete- AMAZINGLY done Stana!
ReplyDelete- Kiss on that scar Castle..kiss it off her chest!

ReplyDeleteI thought for a moment that a helicopter was going to swoop down on her when she wanted to climb that ladder with the gun on her back. ;)

ReplyDeleteAwesome EP - Stana deserves an emmy nod for this ep for sure.
ReplyDeleteLoved the hot mess look during her drinking binge ... smokin'!

ReplyDeleteYou can see it, it's on her side... They even show her seeing it on the mirror.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I was angry at myself that I missed most of the scene. Definitely need to rewatch.
ReplyDeleteA completely AWESOME episode.
ReplyDeleteStana was amazing. The whole episode was amazing. No words for it. :)
Amazing :)
ReplyDeleteOMG! THIS EPISODE WAS AMAZING!!!! Stana Katic should get all the awards for this episode! :D
ReplyDeleteWow, I wish this was a two hour episode, it was so good!!! I just didn't want it to stop.
ReplyDeleteStana was amazing!
Very painful to watch. Stana and Jon did a fantastic job. The ending left me hopeful. The wall is coming down.
ReplyDeleteEmmy worthy. But what do I know? I just watch TV for the past 20 years.
Agreed. Great episode, but not top 5 on my book.
ReplyDeleteI was looking forward to watching a "Cuffed" promo...That was a disappointment.
ps.: I also always secretly look forward to voting in the ever so competitive yet fictional poll American Promo X Canadian Promo :)
Well, as previously hyped (and expected) Stana's acting was superb.

Awesome! OMG this season is... OMG!!! I loved Jon and Stana! too much feelings right now!!!
ReplyDeleteYou know that it's not Jon/Beckett, right? Jon is the name of the actor, LOL. It's either Jon/Stana or Esposito/Beckett.
ReplyDeleteIt was a really great episode and I love so much the last scene and the last Beckett's sentence :-)
ReplyDeleteShe's ready, guys!
what a fantastic episode.. it was heartbreaking to see Beckett struggling so much, and was a real testament to Stana's acting. I also thought Esposito really shined
ReplyDeleteJust watched it and I absolutely loved it! Such a great episode.
ReplyDeleteIt was a brilliant episode! Beckett's PTSD was done so realistically and the parallel between her story and the murder case was brilliant!
ReplyDeleteAll the awards for @Stana_Katic. Really... she deserves EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! Great episode, great acting, awesome story and writing. This is why I love Castle.
ReplyDeletean amazing episode!! i love how they brought the story
ReplyDeleteloved it. I'm glad it lived up to my high expectations =)
ReplyDeleteWhoever voted "poor" or "awful" something must be terribly wrong with you.
ReplyDeletethis ep was over way too soon!! should've been at least twice as long!
ReplyDeleteLoved this episode - they went into Beckett's PTSD and issue's over the shooting without letting it become melodrama or completely unrealistic, and also allowed other things to be going on throughout the episode - Castle's contribution through the paintings of the masters, the Captain finally starting to warm up to him a little and the team dynamics really shining through.
ReplyDeleteGreat episode!
ReplyDeleteO my LOL!! Sorry, I'm still new to the show :(
ReplyDeleteMs Katic Your Emmy awaits! It was that good!
ReplyDeleteAll evidence can be checked out of a police dept and carried to a crime scene. As long as Chain of custody is maintained!
ReplyDeleteThose will be released after the repeat of Heroes and Villains on the 28th!
ReplyDeleteYeah I so too hate these Hiatus! But there is always repeat videos and Fan Fics to fill the void!
ReplyDeleteYes the first scene with her touching here side was where the scar is. Kate touched all her scars in that look into the mirror.
ReplyDeleteJavi could have but Rick is quicker in thought and actions. It is also his major concern. Javi given time would have broached the subject.
ReplyDeleteThis was an outstanding episode,Beckett did a fine job,and what surprised me was the captain,in the last 2 episodes we are seeing another side of her that i didn't expect until later in the season.Beckett's finally coming to terms with PTSD but that is just a start,if they sweep it under the rug,or if they drag it on to long, they will lose what Castle, makes Castle.
ReplyDeleteI must be the dissenting
ReplyDeletevoice and say that episode was so horrible it actually had me laughing. First
off, I don't ask for realism in shows, but I need realistic treatment of the
character's emotions. They did a ton of episodes after they introduced her PTSD
with her chasing armed criminals down without missing a beat like always, then
just because this one is specifically about a sniper, she is flipping out to a
very extreme degree with a serious mental illness only to have that premise
thrown away after a lame cliché pep talk. The pace and entire concept was absolutely ridiculous
and riddled with pathetically trite dialogue and style. I've noticed this
several times with Castle, anytime something dramatic and serious comes up it's
never dealt with to any satisfying degree or fully explored. Their character's
stories are either dragged out too long with developments that are few a far
between (ie, mother, Castle+Beckett), or they're suddenly brought up then fixed
just as fast and easily. Where's the build up? Where's the emotional
complexity? Where's the depth? Where's the real struggle? Yes I know it ended
with her still dealing with her issues (which she annoyingly claimed were all
about her mother again and not her getting shot even though her extreme fear
was triggered by a sniper, sure, whatever, I don't care anymore...), but the
fact remains she went from dealing, to extreme mental breakdown, then back to
dealing, in a laughably absurd way and meaninglessly quick amount of time. I'm
so sad this show is the only way I can get my Nathan Fillion fix. I really miss
Firefly!
i duno, something was off about this episode =/ my favourite one this season is still the bank hostage one :)
