Okay. I loved the very pregnant Brennan attacking the 300 lb guy. And I really like the new squintern, Flinn. He's really interesting. Is he a regular?
Okay, first, one thing. I really, really dislike the way they are portraying Brennan. They are acting like she hasn't learned anything at all about human behaviour since she and Booth met. Her inability to comprehend where Booth was coming from was completely unbelievable in my opinion. And although I get her social awkwardness, and that is something I do like about her, this is just caricaturization.
Okay, the rest, I loved! Really the new intern was the absolute best, his character was great and more interesting in one episode than I have found Daisy in all the screentime she has had together. His interacting with Hodgins was great, Cam was great, and the scene when he returns between him and Brennan was the best of the whole ep. See, she isn't as stupid as they make her seem! (the woman has studied anthropology, come ON!!) Anyway, greatness to the top.
And the last scene between her and Booth was cute! ( I did hope they would've at least touched or something, but hey, you can't have anything right xd!)
Wauw, I really sound negative, but this was a superb episode in my opinion! Sorry for ruining your time by this mindless ramble ;p
Love the new squintern, Finn. I kept thinking of Zack everytime he came on. I know Zack is totally different but they are both young geniuses. Hodgins calling him Opie and he calling Hodgins, Thurston was really great.
Well I totally agree with you about Brennan, she's becoming more and more a caricaturization of herself...but there's nothing new, the writers are focusing on what you call her social ankwardness since at least season 4 or 5. Like you I love a lot this episode tough, and I cannot wait for next week.
Well I'm probably along at these, but although I liked Finn I want Wendell to be a regular. Since thats not an option I agree with all of you, we kick Daisy and keep Finn
Sometimes Brennan annoys me a bit. I love the show and I liked this episode, but sometimes I feel like they're going a bit too far with Brennan's social skills, or better said, the lack there of.
Opie and Thurston are both characters from old time television shows.
Opie was the son of a country sheriff on the Andy Griffith Show. Opie used to go fishing a lot. That's why Hodgins was making references to the fishing hole. Thurston was a character who was on Gilligan's Island. Thurston Howell III was a millionaire on the show. Finn thought Hodgins was a bit snobbish because of the way Hodgins was making fun of the way Finn spoke. So that's why he called him Thurston.
Thought it was a great episode. A few negatives - while I like the new intern, I thought he was laid on a bit thick and I also didn't like Brennan at the beginning. I really don't think she would have found out the sex without Booth (or gone to an ultrasound without him - they've been together for 5 months, she'd know they were important to him). Having said that, the last scene was adorable!
It was great. Surprisingly, I loved the new intern. The promo pictures didn't do him much justice. It was fairly obvious who the killer was, but the hot dog contest was fun to watch.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I loved it! Brennan annoyed me at first, but I got over it. Still mad at Caroline, though.
ReplyDeleteI love Finn! He can stay. And I bet his mom killed his stepfather or something.
i liked Finn. i loved the Booth/Bones even though Bones messed up with the ultrasound appointment. when did Bones get over her fear of snakes?
ReplyDeleteLoved it!! especially the end scene!
ReplyDeleteshe got over her fear during the season 6 premiere
ReplyDeleteShe said she's only scared of snakes when Booth is around.
