I'm glad Lana said there's really no difference between EQ and Regina since I had not really seen one....
I do wonder why there is not though. I mean every other Enchanted Forest character has a slightly tweaked persona in Storybooke, hers is mirrored.
Am I the only one that was not shocked in the least that EQ killed her father? Seems like royals killing family to gain or to keep the throne is common place and almost expected to me.
No i don't think you are the only one...And you know there really is no difference,i can not see Regina being anything but mean,i don't think think the story could work any other way.One thing for sure, she has a great part, and she plays it perfectly. :)
I think the only time you will ever see a difference is when she talks to her son.Even then it only last for a split second. If you notice as time goes on she is falling further and further into EQ.This was only the second ep. and one could see it happening.
I can understand what you guys are saying, but I think that we have to give it a little more time.
Here's what I think, perhaps there is no difference between TEQ and Regina because there really shouldn't be, even in fairy tale world she never really had any hope of a happy ending, and I think that's why we see such differences in the other characters, they did have a happy ending and because of the curse I think they lose even the hope of one.
And we can all agree that's a key factor in their personality. But still I don't believe they changed as much, I mean we haven't had enough episodes to draw that conclusion but, I think they're a still the same, they just live in perpetual fear.
The main difference I can see between The Evil Queen and Regina, is the fact that The Evil Queen is more successfull at what she does. Regina's plans, just kept backfiring.
Your right about giving it more time, and she never did have a happy ending,I was hoping that she would question why she was being so bitchy.I mean she is even cold towards her son.Anyway.i like what you had to say,and lets see what happens over the next few weeks.
I was only surprised because my expectation of someone who would kill a family member wouldn't kill one they really loved. But then I'm not (or don't think I am) evil. :-)
I find myself unable to decide if Regina knows who she was or not. I think the mirroring is part of it.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Hmm, why is there sometimes adverts before the video plays, and sometimes not? Keep meaning to ask lol
ReplyDeleteIt depends if they have an ad to serve. I think our fill rates are about 60-70% so you should see an ad about 7 in 10.
ReplyDeleteNOOO, not more Tower Heist!
ReplyDeleteMuhahahaha :)
ReplyDeleteAhh, cheers for clearing that up Andy :)
ReplyDeleteIt's better than Valley Fair and tampon ads we had most of the summer! XD

ReplyDeleteYeah they need The Mayor as the antagonist so it makes sense. I still would have liked a little separation between the Evil Queen and the Mayor.
ReplyDeleteOh well, regardless she plays the roles fairly well.

ReplyDeleteSeriously, what was up with those tampon ads? Do they think only women use this site or something? Awkward...

Great information. This series is truly fascinating me.
ReplyDeletethere's a chapter one?!?!?
ReplyDeleteI think so but I could not find it. Maybe it's somewhere on the abc.comsite?
ReplyDeleteOk...thanks!!!

ReplyDeleteI wish we had been able to see what Maleficent was up to in the real world. On the bright side, it's a perfectly good reason to have her back.
ReplyDeleteFor that I cannot wait!
ReplyDeleteCool Show
ReplyDeleteThe Evil Queen is definitely my favorite character. I enjoy her more in the fairyland world though. FOr some reason she just so much sexier there.

And I was expecting to see a Temple of Doom scene were she would present us her father's heart. :D
ReplyDeleteIf you didn't find chapter one on the ABC site, it's on youtube.
