    This may sound very stupid, but I didn't quite get what they were referring to here:

    "The insanity surrounding Monday’s fantastic episode of CASTLE won’t be for naught, particularly for those of you who have been patiently waiting for a certain member of the NYPD to see the light."

    Are they talking about Beckett having an epiphany about Castle? I thought that she already new she loved him and bla bla bla hence the jab from her shrink (afraid that he will or won't wait for her).

    Or are they talking about Gates realizing Castle is great and that she was just being cranky?

    Could someone please enlighten me here? Or is it extremely ambiguous for everybody?

    Sounds like the wording was deliberately vague on that one, and it works: it's certainly got my imagination fired up! 

    Of course I can't help hoping it's Beckett: she's long since realized she cares deeply for him, but she's never admitted the magic 'L' word to him, or anyone else.   That would count as 'seeing the light' in a big way! 

    Or, it could be that seeing how Castle deals with seeing her at her lowest (with the PTSD in full swing) will help her realize that she doesn't have to be perfect around him.  That, while she wanted to wait until she was whole and healed and had put her mother's case behind her, Castle still loves her just as much when she's broken and hurting, and he's there for her through it all...  

    Did that sound sappy?  I don't care.  I'm a hopeless romantic.  :)

    That did not sound sappy at all. Your answer actually made me smile!

    I really like your theory (and I think it is very realistic) but since word is going around that they won't get together until the middle of next season, I am a bit skeptical. I think the whole "waiting to be better"-excuse only works for a few episodes, not the whole season, so your take on things would make a lot more sense IMO.

    Anyway, I believe that even if you are right, she would first admit it to her shrink, and before she actually acts on it some other obstacle will hinder it all and in the end of the season she will find out that Castle lied to her about the secret caller and will be disappointed in him, so that they can drag it until next season. While this is annoying, the writers have yet to disappoint me so I still have faith that the storylines will be well developed.

    But I am hoping your take on things is right and they live happily ever after. Fighting crime, of course.

    I just hope they're talking about Beckett letting Castle in at last. Gosh! This 2 week break is going to kill me...

    (And I agree, whatever the realization turns out to be, and whoever actually has it, odds are pretty slim it leads to Beckett and Castle closing out the episode in a passionate embrace.  But, a girl can dream, eh?)
