Thanks to Megan for the heads up.

According to our sources, HIMYM is currently casting for…wait for it…Robin's kids! In an upcoming episode, future Robin will be chatting with her children in the same format that we've seen from future Ted. But that's not even the best part…

Robin's son is described as blonde. Blonde, we tell you!

Guess who else is blonde? Barney Stinson.

It should also be noted that HIMYM is looking for a daughter for Robin as well, and she will be brunette. Can't you see Robin and Barney having a blonde son and brunette daughter? We can. And if we know Barney-Robin fans, we fully anticipate that hearing this bit of casting scoop is enough to give them a wee bit of hope for our favorite awesome duo. Robin hasn't had any other blonde love interests besides Barney (so far), so we're taking this info and wrapping it around us like a fluffy Stinson-Scherbatsky slanket.

    Wtf? Since when does Robin want children? I'm really hoping this is some kind of trippy dream sequence or joke - the show does that kind of thing all the time, so odds are good. Would be pretty disappointed if Robin becomes a completely different person in the future just because she's in a relationship/gets married.

    I think its probably going to be Robin getting slightly jealous that Lily is about to have a kid. Its going to be some imaginary children and will be on screen for all of 30 seconds.  Its going to be a momentary thing though.  However is Robins view on kids changing? Could be. I dont think its going to be an overnight thing.

    On the other hand, I definetly think Barney will want kids.. mainly so he can instruct them via his book.. thus he would want a boy. However Barney safeguarding a daughter with the knowledge he knows.. there is comedy potential there. There has been an episode with the false pregnancy test with Barney, but then I look at an episode like where his brother has a kid.. and its clear Barney is into that.

    Can you imagine the psychiatrist's bills for the children of Robin and Barney? I'd love to see the two of them together, but the idea of that couple with kids is too weird to contemplate.
