You can tell Robin and Barney are meant for each other. They have so much in common. For example, they just had sex with each other - that's one thing. Another thing is how amazingly bad they both are at keeping it a secret. Seriously, just the worst liars ever. But in this case, that could be a great thing. The end of the random love interests and a step back towards brOTP/Swarkles ... I hope.
I feel sorry for Kevin and Nora but they both should have seen something like this coming. Kevin is a decent therapist and should have seen the writing on the wall with Robin and Nora was taking a huge gamble by taking Barney back in the first place, which was almost certainly a mistake on her part.
I'm not a massive fan of Robin and Barney together, they didn't work out together last time they are too similar and I've always preferred Robin with Ted. Plus their shippers are a bit on the obsessive side, although what shippers aren't.
DON'T YOU DARE SAY THAT ABOUT US! DON'T YOU DARE! I WILL CUT MYSELF!!!11!!eleven
I also liked Robin and Ted, but we know that it's not going to happen, and I really don't dislike Robin and Barney, they just don't have to make the same mistakes.
But above all, I think that Robin and Barney getting together is the game changer that will made Ted question his own love life, with his 4 friends married to each other (not in that way...) It will ceirtanly change the context, him being the last single standing. I think that this couple is what fathoms the home stretch of this story.
I agree about why they need get together, to move Ted's story along, and I suppose it could work out better the second time. It was always going to come down to something with Robin, as why else would they start with Ted meeting her.
+2. Robin has seemed like a really superficial character ever since the whole Barney / Robin storyline began. She was a much stronger character in seasons 1-2, sort of 3, and the very beginning of 4
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Wow, they clearly feel really guilty and aren't going to be able to hide this.
ReplyDeletePlease to break up with Nora and Kevin immediately and get back together!

ReplyDeleteI still don't understand why Kevin freaked out about Robin being friends with Ted when she told him she was in love with Barney! What the hell?
ReplyDeleteThat seemed odd to me also.
ReplyDeleteIt makes no sense at all.
