Grimm - Additional Scripts Ordered

17 Nov 2011

A handful of additional scripts have been ordered for NBC's rookie Friday drama Grimm.

After launching strong in a competitive genre-laden time slot, the fairy tale procedural has since dropped off in the ratings, but the hourlong has managed to top the 9 p.m. hour in the advertiser-coveted demo for most weeks. For its most recent episode, Grimm averaged 5.2 million viewers and a 1.6 rating in adults 18-49.

  1. I read elsewhere they'd only ordered 2, anyone else hvae confirmation of that?  i was surprised as I thought it was doing well enough for a larger order.  Not sure I like it though, but it's ratings are pretty good for a Friday.

  2. I think this is great news. I've been a bit worried about this show.

  3. I am glad. I think it is fun and I usually don't like monsters.

  4. Happy for the show as there's promise here. But Fringe/SPN are still my top 2 in the timeslot, but I do like this show

  5. I like Grimm but I refuse to give up my Fringe/Supernatural time slot. I will watch the Grimm marathon on Syfy Tuesday, November 22. I hope Syfy picks up Grimm permanently. That would seem to solve the Friday problem.

  6. Grimm ratings will not pick up as long as it is up against Fringe and
Supernatural for the same time slot. That just isn’t going to happen. We love Sam and Dean and Fringe’s crazy world and Peter,
Olivia, Walter and Astrid. Yes, Astrid is cool.

  7. I’m not suggesting Syfy should air it on Friday’s. That would be a very
bad idea. Or NBC should consider moving it to a less busy week night.

  8. Well NBC certainly deserves a break. And so far it's a good show.

  9. Deadline | Hollywood said it was two.  It doesn't matter though.  Grimm is on the winter schedule and with how badly NBC is doing this fall, they're going to need the show.  I'd be shocked if it doesn't get a full-season pick up by the time the NBC brass leaves for the holiday break.

  10. Considering the competion (that targets pretty much the same demo) and that it's a Friday I say it's  doing decently, so can't say I'm too surprised.
Don't think it will get a second season though....
