    he wanted to leave because of what shonda did to him! she didn't want him to come out as gay and when he did she gave him less scenes on the show, especially on season 5 it was like george didn't even exist... that's why he left, he's said so himself!! in a way she forced him to resign!

    OH PLEASE.

    I'm no fan of Shonda - but she is the QUEEN of LGBTQ acceptance. I find it hard to believe that he was written out because he came out. If he WAS written out, it wasn't because he came out.

    I agree that T.R. being gay had nothing to do with him leaving, but Shonda is not the queen of the LGBTQ acceptance, she has vary little understanding of the community or its members her god awful CAM story-line proves that. Shonda writes gay characters into her shows but she also writes for male characters too that doesn't mean she's the queen of men.

    agree with you, can't force someone to stay if they don't want too. Also believe it had something to do with KH and TR wanting more money which wasn't forth coming.
