  1. This promo concerns me. There's a semi-fine line between empowerment through one's sexuality and exploitative displays of eroticism. Without more context, the scene just kind of just plays off as the girls being attractive while the boys are all "Yup. This is pretty hot." Which is, hopefully, not the point of the episode. While empowerment should absolutely be a part of this coming out story, exploitation should not be. I guess I'll have more to say tomorrow.

  2. I wonder how many guys would really be dancing along as their girlfriends sing this? Furthermore, while it's considered okay with theater geeks/choir nerds if the guys are gay, lesbians still get all kinds of crap from the other kids. Nice fantasy--and I'm looking forward to the episode--but realistically Santana and Britney get drummed out of the Cheerios, and the Glee Club probably shuns them....because the majority of people are jerks.

  3. sounds great, but this should have been Santana & Brittany instead of Santana & Rachel IMO

  4. I was trying to figure that out too - Rachael and Santana being friends? Weird, but possible I guess. Brittany's vocal range wouldn't have fit the song, I think, plus I'm guessing they'll have other songs together this ep.

  5. No, but seriously guys, how does Mr. Schue pull off sitting in the audience and NOT coming across as a lecherous douche? Ryan Murphy clearly has some strange ideas about what empowerment means.

  9. Ok - I love Glee - I really do ... but really Ryan, recycling songs from season 1 already.  There are so many songs out there and you have to do this one again?  I get that it fits the story but at some point the song either didn't fit the story or you're regurgitating story ... neither of these is good.

That being said - can't wait to see Glee tonight for my weekly sing along.  (yes I even sang along to it's not easy being green and yes, I really am that old).
