Thanks to Jonathan for the following.
BET has announced that its top-rated comedy "The Game", which made its debut on the network last January to stellar ratings, will return for its 22-episode fifth season with a one-hour telecast on Tuesday, January 10th at 10/9c.
Starring Tia Mowry Hardict, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Pooch Hall, Coby Bell and Hosea Chanchez, "The Game" is produced by CBS Television Studios. It premiered in October 2006 on The CW, where it ran for three season and then got canceled, only to get picked up by BET just short of a year later.
Last season, airing Tuesdays at 10:00 PM as well, "The Game" kicked off to an astounding 7.7 million viewers (making it the #1 ad-supported sitcom telecast in television cable history ever) and averaged 4.2 million viewers season-long.
It'll be interesting to see how many eyeballs the sitcom will attract when it comes back after a nine-month hiatus.

ReplyDeleteCant wait :D
ReplyDeleteLooking Forward to the next season
ReplyDeleteget to know it, but start with season 1-3. Season 4 was the transition to ET after the year long hiatus. You will fall in love with it.
ReplyDeleteBeyond thrilled The Game is coming back I can only hope that since it has a full 22 episodes the material will be way better then last years. Disappointed the Brittany (Kelly) wont be back this season :( Though I heard Brandy will be Jasons new love interest.
ReplyDeleteThis must be something special, thanks i will definitely check it out!
ReplyDeleteIt was originally on the CW but it got cancelled. After a year of petitions and this huge FB push BET picked up the option a brought the show back to life. The fans have kept this show alive!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is pretty impressive considering the FB was able to bring it back a year after if went off the air. That normally doesn't happen, not after a year! :)
ReplyDeleteyea it was a pretty huge deal, and the premiere on BET was the biggest premiere BET ever had. The numbers rivaled network numbers.
