Some new casting news from the ICeland set of Game of Thrones. Rattleshirt will be played by Edward Dogliani. I tried to find a pohoto of Mr. Dogliani but had no luck... yet. Here's what GRRM has to say.
Sorry, Froggy. You want to plunk your magic twanger and pop in here in a cloud of smoke muttering about jumping on a zebra with a firearm, no doubt, but I just don't have the time right now. Too much to do, too little time.

So instead of hinting around, I'll just flat out announce that the part of the Lord o' Bones, the wildling raider mocked as Rattleshirt, will be played by EDWARD DOGLIANI.

Welcome to Westeros, Edward. I'm looking forward to seeing you in your bone armor.

    One of the more fun minor characters beyond the wall to me. 

    I don;t need a big name for minor roles, but it would be nice to be able to find a photo of the actor! XD

    By the looks of that makeshift battle armor, I'm guessing they don't have an army surplus store beyond the wall.

    Ha!  Well I'm not sure any army would issue thatarmor....

    They call him Rattleshirt because his armor is made from bones and it rattles when he moves. That picture does not do it justice. I bet it will look amazing on the series!

    Hahaha.. yeah I can picture some 80s metal band armor... or some playschool meets He-Man Skeletor looking thing, but I seriously doubt HBO will go that route. Here's hoping!

    Not a huge part, but good to see the character made it to the TV series. 

    And yes, defintiely looks a bit like Russell Crowe in that picture.

    Hadn't thought of it. But now that you mention it, he does look a bit like RC. He also looks quite a bit like the sketch of Rattleshirt.
