  1. This only keeps getting better. I don't know why I'm so amazed. It continues to be one of the better surprises of the past two seasons.

  2. Oh, what are you doing Robert. Sneaking around with the maid, while your wife is fighting for her life. Classy, real classy, Sir  :'\

I can't believe there are only 2 episodes left in season 2 *cry*

  3. I grew up with "Upstairs, Downstairs" and now I am equally hooked to Downton Abbey. The best show in years - in my book anyway. Maggie Smith is an absolute icon now. But the entire cast is fantastic. There is not one character that I don't care about in a way.

Don't forget guys that while this is the last episode of the 2nd season there is also going to be a Downton Abby CHRISTMAS SPECIAL coming!

  4. I tried watching the original Upstairs, Downstairs after enjoying the reboot of the series last year, but I just could not get into it. Times are so different now! XD

Ok it takes place at the turn of the century century but the 1970s filming style is just slow and odd to me I guess.

Agreed on how brilliant the cast and writing are! Each character, no matter how small a role, has a well developed story and personality! So nice to see compared to most cardboard cut-outs on TV!

  5. I knew that new maid would be trouble!

She better hope Cora is the one to find out, if the Dowager Countess discovers it being fired is the least of her concerns! XD

  6. I have a bit of the same problem. I recall watching Upstairs, Downstairs as a child and really enjoying it. But I'm not able to get into it as much today as I was then. I don't know if my taste has changed or it's that I'm accustomed to a different style of television....

DA does remind me of it quite a lot, though.

  7. Final episode... sigh! I wish it has longer seasons...
