November 2, 2011 (Burbank, CA) ─ The CW Network announced today midseason plans for the 2011-2012 season, including the final 13 episodes of ONE TREE HILL, the series premiere of REMODELED and the return of original episodes across the schedule, starting Thursday, January 5 with THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and THE SECRET CIRCLE.

The final season of ONE TREE HILL premieres Wednesday, January 11 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET). In its final 13 episodes, how will Brooke and Julian juggle parenthood and their very young careers? With Nathan traveling more as an agent, how will Haley’s life change with a second child, an increasingly independent Jamie, and a busy café to run? Is a wedding in store for Quinn and Clay, or for Mouth and Millicent? And what’s to become of Alex and Chase and their burgeoning romance? The series stars Sophia Bush as Brooke Davis, Bethany Joy Galeotti as Haley James Scott, James Lafferty as Nathan Scott, Robert Buckley as Clay Evans, Austin Nichols as Julian Baker, Shantel VanSanten as Quinn James and Jackson Brundage as Jamie Scott. ONE TREE HILL was created by Mark Schwahn and is executive produced by Schwahn, Joe Davola, Greg Prange, Mike Tollin and Brian Robbins. The series is produced by Mastermind Laboratories and Tollin/Robbins Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

New reality series REMODELED, premiering Wednesday, January 18, (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET), centers around modeling industry veteran Paul Fisher as he tries to bring together hundreds of small agencies around the world in a new venture called The Network. The Network will give Paul the leverage to change the industry from the inside out. He has two missions: to make sure agents in small towns no longer get screwed, and to empower models to take control of their careers and lead healthier lives. REMODELED is from Fly on the Wall Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television with executive producers Allison Grodner (“Big Brother,” “You’re Cut Off,” “She’s Got The Look,” “Plain Jane”), Rich Meehan (“Big Brother,” “You’re Cut Off,” “She’s Got The Look,” “Plain Jane”), Amy Palmer (“You’re Cut Off,” “Plain Jane”), Paul Fisher (“I Want To Be A Hilton”), Greg Seuss (“What’s Wrong with Virginia,” “Tug”) and Erik Stone (“Aisha Tyler Is Lit: Live at the Fillmore”).

  1. Why are all the shows so spread out?  It seems slightly weird.

  2. Time to put reality shows to bed.

  3. Supernatura's 10th episode is on December 2nd, meaning we only have a month of hellatius! I can live for a month without SPN....I think...right?

  4. The new President shortened Hellatius? Forget Cas, this guy is my new God!

  5. WHY does Hart of Dixie return so late?! UGH

  6. Wait I thought CW had one new midseason show. I'm confused

Not sure, but I know the network ordered extra eps of some shows to reduce the length of the hiatus. I know SPN got an extra ep, and some other shows (maybe GG or 90210) got 2 extra. TVD didn't get any more as there is too much post production. That might partly explain why the hiatus is longer for some shows than others.

  8. but when does the hiatus begin? XD I don't know how much do I have to wait... :/

  9. What does this even mean? Midseason debuts?! Someone from the states explain this to me please.

  15. oh, thanks a lot!!! :) it's going to be a long wait!!

  16. Ya but you do remember last year?

    December 10th
February 4th (was suppose to be Jan 28th)

Almost two months. Summer Hellatus is 4 months. This is why the CW president opted for an additional episode. So they could have acouple episodes in early January.

But I think it will be

    Jan 6th Ep 12
    Jan13th Ep 13
    Jan 20th Repeat
    Jan 27th Repeat
    Feb 3rd Ep 14
    Feb 10th Ep 15
    Feb 17th Ep 16
    Feb 24th Ep 17
    Mar 2nd-April 6th Repeats
    April 13th Ep 18
    April 20th Ep 19
    April 27th Ep 20
    May 4th Ep 21
    May 11th Ep 22
    May 18th Season Finale

  17. In the states some shows start midseason,so in January the show Remodeled will start airing. We have the same thing happen during the summer, usually when a show goes on hiatus say for instance,Bones ends around mid to late may, then two weeks later another show say Masterchef starts airing...Hope that helped! :)

  18. Sorry,i just answered Stella's question not realizing you already answered.:(

  19. SPN comes back on the 6th? I thought it's usually like the third or fourth week of January. Awesome. (But wait... is there another month hiatus happening in Feb or March or something? )

    ReplyDelete
  20. noo hart of dixie starts soo much  lateer =( but yayy vdiaries is earlir then last yearr!

    ReplyDelete
  21. glad to see one tree hill have a return date, but don't know why hart of dixie returns a week after gossip girl

    ReplyDelete
  22. we have the exact same hellatus time then every single year^^; the other year we had 2 months together, this year we have 1 month, 2 epi. than another month. that's exactly why I was saying that there's no reason to worship the new president. Go tell that to the other person not me

The episode they added doesn't change anything too, the 23th episode will aired with episode 22 for a 2 hours finale, the only difference is that we won't have 2 weeks between the 2 last airing day like had last year

    ReplyDelete
  23. yup, in january it's 2 episodes, than another month of Hellatus, than after a couple of episodes we'll surely take another 4-5 weeks of break before the final episodes

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hart of Dixie was one of the last CW shows to premiere this fall so it makes sense that they'd follow suit the same way after the hiatus.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Woo hoo.  Jan 6 is not so bad.  That is if the CW don't choose to bump it like they did last year.  Let's hope they learned from that debacle.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I actually like this schedule better.  We may only get two episodes before a mini hiatus but that at least separates it and gives us something to talk about.  I still say kudos to Pedowitz for this schedule.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I like this schedule a lot better.  Chopping things into mini haituses is more pleasing psychologically than having a huge drawn out one.  Obviously we will have the same amount of repeat weeks; the CW can't afford 40 episode seasons.  I think Pedowitz is smart for scheduling this way and it may lessen the ratings drop off that usually follows a long hiatus.

  28. Remodeled should replace the canceled H8R.  The Cw usually has more than one reality show sharing a spot.

  29. Dawn's not there anymore. More intelligent heads prevail. :)

  30. Good to see that shows will be back sooner! I don't want to wait that long for SPN or TVD, also my new semester will start so I'll have time in Jan to watch TV =P. However playing OTH the same episode back to back is kind of overkill no? I'd rather they re-air the Season 8? (can't keep track...) finale and then the premiere to remind me what happened since it will have been like 7 months since then.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Thanks for explaining! Can I see anywhere how long the show will be on hiatus?

    ReplyDelete
  32. It all depends on the time of year.On the major networks,CBS,NBC,ABC,and FOX,they usually run 22 to 24 episodes per season,i.e. Sept. thru May. During that period we have the hoilday breaks,or mini hiatus.Take christmas, and Bones for example,Bones usually breaks from airing new episodes  during the second week of December, then returns in January and resumes airing new episodes. The same process takes place around Easter, this usually only lasts i to 2 weeks. When the season ends, the networks take 1 to 2 weeks before they either start showing reruns of the show,or new shows start airing. Now this is not set in stone, and don't forget things can,and do change during the year. With other networks (not the major broadcasting networks),they can,and do run new episodes throughout the year.Take for example Sanctuary(do you get this show?) They will show 8 new episodes, stop, then 3 months later, return with another 8 new episodes.Since they don't  shoot 24 episodes per season, they tend to spread the episodes out.Now once they stop, they also replace them with another show, say Ghost Hunters, then the same process starts over again.I hope this helped you. :)

  33. I would like even more minis, like just 2 week breaks ever so often, could deal with that much better.  TVD has 7 week break..sucks

    ReplyDelete
  34. I HATE what CW does every year :@:@:@:@:@:@:@:@ WE DON'T WANT MID SEASON FINALES!ESPECIALLY FOR THE VD!
