We've added a few new features to the site today that we hope you'll find helpful/useful.
Social Notifications
If you're a Badgeville user and are logged in via Twitter you should now see a little notification number next to your name and points total in the top header

This will alert you to any notifications that we think you'll find useful. Currently this has been setup to alert you any interactions that other others have made on posts that you have yourself interacted with.
Clicking on the number will reveal a drop-down which you can see the various notifications.

Increased Activity Stream
A number of new activities will be appearing in the activity stream from Today that allows you to see exactly what other users are doing on the site. This might help you find a post that you might have missed or maybe you see one of your favourite posters make a comment on the site and want to see what they have written.
Each activity will have an icon associated with it so that you are able to quickly see at a glance the type of interaction taking place.

Both these are features are very new and no doubt there will be some bugs/issues/questions. If you find anything odd or not working or have any suggestions please don't hesitate to ask in the comments below.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely will!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see the testing paying off :)

ReplyDeletewow! thanks! awesome!
ReplyDeleteHa indeed :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chestal
ReplyDeleteI do. Sometimes I come back to a page to see what others commented upon after me so this feature for me is brilliant. I love trying out the features in general :)
ReplyDeleteThe new features are great ;) thanks !
ReplyDeleteNice, I love these new features. I've never seen anything like this before.
ReplyDeleteI can see these innovations required a great deal of work, but I don't see how the changes are going to make any difference in my use of the site. Thanks for the work, though.
ReplyDeletethese new feature are absolutely great! :D
ReplyDeleteThank you ;)
ReplyDeleteYep, they won't help/appeal to everyone. Although you might start to find them useful when you get alerts to people leaving replies to you comments etc.
ReplyDelete;) thanks Adena!
ReplyDeleteHi Manjeera!
ReplyDeleteGrrrrrreat!!!!!

ReplyDeleteI second that.
ReplyDeletebrilliant guys.. loving the new features..
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
ReplyDeletea suggestion .. Can you guys adjust the length of the activities window to show more than 3 activities? I find it small compared to the "comments" and "Our Community" sections..
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestion.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have any plans currently but we've added it to our Suggestion lists.
We do have this page which has a much larger version.

I like the new features keep them coming guys!!!!
ReplyDeleteNice new features,liking them allot,thank you!! :)
ReplyDeleteLiking the new features. The new notifications at the top of the page is particularly handy.
ReplyDeleteI think the new features are making my Internet Explorer get a pop up notification bar everytime I open a page of the site....
ReplyDeletethat is very big :)
ReplyDeleteTry changing to Chrome, it's so much faster and stable than IE imo :)
ReplyDeleteYep, as Sandi says. Chrome is much faster, reliable and secure than IE. We optimize the site to work with Chrome.
ReplyDeleteIf you really need to use Chrome you probably want to allow popups from SpoilerTV.
Do you mean allow pop ups in IE? :P
ReplyDeleteOpps, yes. IE lol
ReplyDeleteI like this. I had noticed some changes in the Activity Stream. These are great changes/additions.
ReplyDeletePersonally I don't like Chrome very much which is why I use IE.
ReplyDeleteI can deal with the popups. It can just get a bit annoying hearing the "blip" sound so often (factoring in how much I use the site).
I'm not too concenrned though. They'll probably be gone the next time you guys upgrade something else anyway ;D
Thanks for the imput.
