    this show has always been great about paying homage to other shows.. I love that!  it makes it seem more real, like we're not just watching made up characters on a television screen

    I really hope this episode adds some new layers to Capt. Gates because, so far, her only function is to make people uncomfortable.  She's more of a plot device than a real character at this point.

    I agree with the comments about Capt Gates - hope we see a bit of character in this ep rather than the boss that occasionally pops up. I sort of like her dislike towards Castle mainly because of Castle's reactions but we need to see more of a well-rounded character.

    It's not bad at all.  It's a sign that her character may start being more enjoyable to watch, which would be quite an improvement from where things stand now.
