The Walking Dead - Rumor: Season 3 is a greenlit
25 Oct 2011
The Walking DeadAs if the record-breaking ratings weren't a big enough sign, some pretty cool news is coming out of the Undead Festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey, where quite a few zombies from AMC's "The Walking Dead" have gathered to take a bite out of the fanbase.
According to our man on the scene, Nomad, sources at the show are saying that AMC has already greenlit the series for a third season. File this one under "no-brainer" until the official confirmation comes.

Oh, please be true! That'd be so great.
ReplyDeleteAMC should make season 3 ,22 episodes
ReplyDeletesome cable shows do it like ABC Family and Lost Girl
After having such a huge premiere thee is little doubt of a Season 3.....
ReplyDeleteGreat news regardless!
I'm surprised this isn't official yet...
ReplyDeleteYeah but AMC could never afford to do that.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about that. I'd have the same concern with The Walking Dead as I do with Lost Girl this season - filler episodes and the erosion of quality storytelling.
ReplyDeleteYes. The less episodes, the better the quality.
ReplyDeleteI never doubted there would be a 3rd season, after the big succes of season 1 there was hardly any reason to doubt season 2 wouldn't also be a huge hit.
ReplyDeleteI also think that it will help Hell on Wheels get a second season. There's hardly a better lead-in than The Walking Dead.
The commercials for Bing or whatever they advertise during The Walking Dead has a contest in which the prize is a "stagger on role" (fan gets to be a zombie) for season 3, so it's kind of already official.
ReplyDeleteright!
ReplyDeleteit is not a rumor.

ReplyDeleteThanks Sara, yep we posted the renewal in a separate post
ReplyDeleteI think we all knew it would happen, but it feels good to get a confirmation.
