Sweet little interview. I'm happy to hear that she confirms Jensen's capabilities as director, albeit a new one.
It's also nice to know that everyone in the troupe are still getting on well with each other and "at least everyone is talking" not like the French Mistake :-)
This all makes for a greater performance on the show.
I just hope that the ratings tonight will reflect all the hard work and creativity put into Supernatural by everyone concerned.
I just read that the CW has cancelled one of it's reality shows.
This means that the Boss Man has no qualms about chopping off the dead branches, so I'm even more on the tenderhooks for Supernatural's ratings :(
I'm not a fan of the so-called, "all rehearsed before-hand, reality shows" so it doesn't bother me. I'ts just the fact that the CW did cancel that spooks me.
I seem to understand from your reply that you wouldn't be worried if Supernatural got cancelled after season 7. How so? I think the show still has a lot to give.
There are a multitude of stories waiting to be told, and if repetitive shows like CSI Miami etc., can go on and on, I don't see why a creative show like Supernatural can't have another few years!
It has good lead actors, good writers and a united crew of workers. It's also very appreciated at international level.
I can understand a person getting bored by a show and not wanting to watch anymore, but for those who are still following Sam and Dean's adventures, or have discovered the show recently like myself, it would be sad to see it cancelled at the end of this season.
I hope the ratings at least hold steady or increase tonight,as the show deserves it for the strong episodes it's giving us at the moment.
Hvent even seen the episode yet and I already want Jewel back. I would love for Sam to reconnect with his first love/kiss. I bet they'd be awesome together, she would be able to understand his life and what he's been through and she'd be strong enough to deal.
I agree, perhaps the only kind of girl Sam could ever think of having a relationship with is one who is as freaked out as he and who lives in his supernatural world :)
I've a niggly feeling that this ep. is not going to end in a "happy ever after" way though
Sorry, that's not what I meant. I meant, that right now I'm not worried that Supernatural will be cancelled. I think we'll get a full season. At 7 season the CW knew exactly what it was getting. IH8R was a new show...it's ratings were going to fluctuate due to people trying it and deciding whether they're going to stick around or not. A LOT of people decided not to stick around. Supernatural isn't in that situation. Seven seasons in the gains and losses don't fluctuate that much from season to season. The CW had a pretty good idea of what Supernatural's ratings would be this season based on last season. If they didn't like it they wouldn't have picked it up. Now if Supernatural starts loosing audience week to week..then I'll start worrying but for now. I'm not.
What I was trying to say was that, given it's a genre show the typical outcome would be for it to have been a single season (if that.) So, I feel lucky that we've gotten 7 seasons. Because of that I won't be hysterically sad if we don't get a season 8.
That's interesting thanks for posting. I am kinda glad she is not the "bad guy/girl" in the ep. I would like to see her back later. :-) There is also a set vid at the bottom with the Js from the recent set visit, for anyone interested
A Demon with Heart of Gold? Not buying it. Snacks on low-life humans? How is that okay in anyway? Who is she to judge whether or not a human should be used as her food? A demon who goes through adolescents and gives birth? Are we sure it's a demon? I thought they inhabited other people's bodies? I thought demons were from hell? Is this a different type of demon than we are used to? Sam's "first love" a demon? Can the guy catch a break? This is going to come back to haunt Sam...fans will not be happy.
You want Sam to reconnect to a demon who kills humans and sucks out their brains. I want better for Sam. Demons= Bad. No way around that. Haven't you learned anything from Ruby?
Who says Amy is anything like Ruby? Who says that Amy actually IS the kind of demon you're thinking of? What if Amy is the kitsune? A kitsune has been referred to as a Japanese demon/spirit depending on how you look at it. Not all kitsune are bad/evil/dangerous either. Why not wait and see the episode before you go jumping on people for their opinion?
And yet again, you go jumping on somebody who doesn't deserve to be jumped on for her opinion. Why don't you just leave people alone and stop making a fool of yourself. You don't even know what kind of creature Amy is yet. Demon does not always mean black or white, and with how loosely CW uses the term "demon" I would've hoped you'd know better by now.
Did you miss the part where she ate human brains??? That sounds pretty evil to me! And I don't care what the human did, she does not get to decide who it's okay to eat and not! As a Sam fan, I would think the last thing you would want it for Sam to be hooked up with another supernatural entity. From what was stated in the interview this episode has the potential to lead to further Sam hate and bashing, which is the last thing we want.
Sam's first kiss was with a demon!? That explains SO much. Hell, that pretty much explains everything, doesn't it? XD
I always thought that that Sam's penchant for creatures and demons was a deviation from the norm, and Jessica was the norm. It turns out that Jessica was the square peg all along.
Okay, sister, you need to like take a breath, relax and go have a beer because guess what? It's just a TV show. If you're so hellbent on insisting that Amy is evil then riddle me this; is Madison evil too? Did Madison deserve death? I certainly don't think so, but who am I to judge, right? I mean if she's eating human hearts, then clearly she must be evil, so how dare me for having sympathy for Madison and Sam.
As a Sam fan, you know what I want for the character? I want real PoV and attention paid to him and his emotions. If he fell for a girl who's supernatural, then he did and there's nothing I can even do about that, so what right does that give me to go bashing people for their opinions? We don't even know anything about this girl yet.
As a Sam fan, I've grown used to the potential Sam bashing and Sam hate that comes out regardless of what his story or situation is. You get used to it, you expect it, you get over it and you move on from it. You don't sit around screaming at people and ripping their heads off before the episode has even aired. That's what you don't do.
And yet again, you go jumping on somebody who doesn't deserve to be jumped on for her opinion. Why don't you just leave people alone and stop making a fool of yourself. You don't even know what kind of creature Amy is yet. Demon does not always mean black or white, and with how loosely CW uses the term "demon" I would've hoped you'd know better by now.
good interview. luv spn! jensen is doing a great job directing. i really hope the ratings for supernatural get better; i will be crushed if it gets cancelled.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I love this actress (despite the fact that her name doesn't seem to stay with me. Had to see her picture) I'm lookign forward to the ep.

Love jewel Staite, so happy she's going to be in Supernatural.
ReplyDeleteThe show that got cancelled was H8R. It lost 33% of their viewers by the time it's last ep aired.

as did Ringer dropping from a 0.9 to a 0.6 this week, down seems to be the general trend for the CW.
ReplyDeleteBrew yourself a good cup of coffee which is what I'm just about to do:):)
ReplyDeletethanks!! this is gonna be great! :D

ReplyDeleteLOL at Sam's first kiss being with a monster. So far it seems like Jess and Cara the doctor have been his only normal girlfriends/one night stands!
ReplyDeleteAnd Cara being normal turned out to be a plot twist. Actually, there was Sara too from season 1.
ReplyDeleteA Demon with Heart of Gold? Not buying it. Snacks on low-life humans? How is that okay in anyway? Who is she to judge whether or not a human should be used as her food?

How is she not a bad girl? She eats humans' brains! That = bad.
ReplyDeleteIt's like saying the ghost from Folsom Prison Blues was okay because it only killed criminals.
Who is Amy to judge whether or not a person is "bad" enough to eat?
I meant she is not the main bad guy. No she is not a good guy but she is not THE bad guy the guys might be looking for.
ReplyDeleteWho says Amy is anything like Ruby? Who says that Amy actually IS the kind of demon you're thinking of? What if Amy is the kitsune?
