    Awesome! When I first heard about the series, I wasn't sure if I was even going to check it out, but now I'm really glad I did. In my opinion it's the best new fall show. They have really solid characters, awesome plot development, and a great cast! Can't wait for the next episode and find out more about Jake, who's a great addition (wonder if Cassie's going to figure it out within one episode-I figured they'd stretch it out, but this show keeps me guessing).

    I really love this show but killing Nick did not make me happy.  Was this planned from the start or did the actor do something that they wanted him off the show?  Will miss him.

    Might have been planned to introduce his brother, I'll miss him too. Seing Melissa crying in his bedroom in the last episode was awful!

    From the interviews afterward, it was always the plan.  Honestly, I don't get why anyone got so attached to the character.  There wasn't a lot of depth of character there and the actors performances seemed substandard to me.

    In the beginning I would agree. But...I started to really like him.  I felt he was a good actor.  However, this is my opinion.  I never force anything on other people because I realize I could be wrong.

    I didn't mean to imply your opinions were wrong, if that's what you mean.  I literally meant that I don't understand what other people saw in the character or the actor's performance.  I was hoping for some insight.

    Really sorry Bruce, I didn't mean anything by it. Yesterday was a bad day. My mother in law passed away.  I really shouldn't have replied.  We can discuss this later.  I have some insight but....just don't have it in me right now to write anything.

    I am all for killing off characters when it means something to the story, but this was just odd. Being one of the circle he seemed to be locked in for a while, even if he was not overly important to the direction of the show as a whole. 

    It just felt mishandled. To go through the big ordeal about bonding the circle and then breaking it soon after by killing a member of the circle makes little sense to me.The death was not meaningful enough to me that it effects the overall direction of the series , but now they are pretty much back at square one and have to fill their circle again. 

    It was not even one step forward two steps back since his death did not move anything forward....

    I didn't mind the death.

    From what I've read, the book version had 12 characters in the circle so I figured that there would be at least a few circle members that wouldn't be permanent.  Besides, it's almost impossible to kill off a main character after an audience genuinely becomes attached to them without a full-on viewership revolt.  If they were going to pull the trigger on this, it's better to do it early on.
