Thanks to www.mycoven.com for the heads up
The Secret Circle has found its newest witchy hunk.
Former Friday Night Lights footballer Grey Damon is joining The CW’s freshman series in the potentially recurring role of Lee Labeque, TVLine has learned exclusively.
Lee, who first appears in Episode 10, is a sexy and mysterious twentysomething grifter type with a lot of confidence — and knowledge. He claims to come from Santeria heritage and runs an occult Botanica in the suburbs. He’s got a hint of danger about him, so it’s no surprise that resident bad girl Faye takes an interest in the guy and the dark side of magic in which he dabbles. Hmm, sounds like Faye is up to no good — what else is new? — maybe even trying to get her solo powers back.

i dont konw why they kill off main characters from the book but bring in new guys
ReplyDeleteExactly, Grey is not good replacement for Nick...
ReplyDeleteI really don't get it either.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's just something as simple as they did not like his acting or he was a problem on the set?
urggh he was one of the worst things about the nine lives of chloe king. Hopefully he won't be as boring on secret circle.
ReplyDeleteI'm also annoyed that they killed off an original character and are bringing in new people... but I actually did like Grey Damon on Chloe King, so maybe I'll give him a chance....
ReplyDeleteI hope he does a better job here than he did on Chloe King. He had so many wooden and awkward line readings on that show I'd start to wince every time he popped-up onscreen.
ReplyDeleteI think he was my least favorite "kid" ever on FNL, so wooden and just boring. He has yet to impress me on anything I have seen him on.
ReplyDeleteCrap. That's not a good sign. I'm starting to think the bigger problem is that the person in charge of casting on The Secret Circle sucks at their job.
ReplyDeleteI think it was apparent to me after see the pilot the casting director wanted hot young teens and did not care about acting ability whatsoever other than the female lead. Not one of them is what I'd call a skilled actor other than maybe Britney....
ReplyDeleteIt's almost like they did not have any auditions or tst shoots.... jsut looked at 8x10 glossies and said... "Her. Her. Her. Him. Him... That's lunch everybody."
I thought the same thing about all of the young actors at first and I still feel that way but I changed my mind about Phoebe Tonkin. The problem there isn't the acting so much as it is the horrible crap that is written for her. Other than that, I completely agree with you.
ReplyDeleteI guess with Faye its hard to tell since it is such a poorly written one-dimensional character like you implied.
ReplyDeleteJPK impressed me when she was possessed, but that is such an odd role to play, "possessed girl". I'm not sure if that overly dramatic style translates to more subtle acting... no matter how much I liked her possession. XD
Dekker is no better.. He's the only actor I know that play opposite a cyborg and come off as the least human of the two. XD I guess at least he is not so wooden... just something about him that feels false to me...
I couldn't agree more about Dekker on this show. He genuinely seemed like he wanted to get with that Terminator a lot more than he does either of these two girls.
ReplyDeleteI hope he's not coming for some cheesy romance ^^;
ReplyDeleteSounds very interesting! Here's hoping they "top" Diana/Adam's performance! lol.
