  1. It was okay. I ship Rick/Shane now, even though I hate Shane.

And I LOL'd at that first zombie coming out of nowhere.

  2. I voted Great, it was slower paced than last weeks premier, and i think it focused on Carl too much, and just fit in the other two groups quickly just to break it up.
The acting was fantastic, the highlight of the episode for me.  Did not like the ending at all though, theres a good cliffhanger, then there's just a torturous cliffhanger, this weeks episode falling into the latter..It just ended too abruptly. Decent episode overall

  3. Loved the flashback of Rick being shot played against the current timeline of his son being shot - Very effective.

You know you are being overly dramatic when Daryl has to be the voice of calm reason! XD
When will the group learn to follow Rick but listen to Daryl? Seriously! He has the best stealth weapons, the best survival skills and a Ziploc full of pills! XD

I loved tonight's game of zombie head polo! XD

I'm liking them showing the effects of stress on the group and how (most) everyone has started to doubt themselves and doubt others. No matter how illogical their reasoning is, stress does that to people forced together in bad situations for extended periods.

Really like Hershel and Otis and the farm group! They should add a lot to the series for as long as they're on. I really liked Hershel's line "Aren't we all [over our head]?"

I really liked this episode. It's been a great start to the season and I think it's on a higher quality arc than last year!

  4. OMG - I was totally screaming a Shane and Otis when they left the mobile med trailer.  And that zombie from nowhere coming after Andrea had me jumping out of my seat.

Daryl is totally my fave character here ... I'd do the zombiepocalypse with him anyday ... shut up - ZING and THUD.

  5. Loved it and thought it was awesome. What an ending! How are Shane and Otis getting out of this one? And where the heck is Sophie now, if she isn't one of the walkers already? I'm sleeping with the lights on tonight.

  6. Excellent episode.  Shows you don't need a gore fest to have a good zombie story.

  7. If they kill Bela I'll quit watching this one too.

  8. I don't like how Sophia was essentially forgotten. When Rick and Shane, and later Lori were at the farm, I just kept wondering when they were going to mention that there was a little girl missing out in the woods and an injured guy out on the road, would someone mind going to help since they've got at least one horse and several spare people?

I did adore Daryl's lines in this episode, although I don't think I like how Rick and Lori, and Daryl have all changed. Daryl's suddenly turned from this bigoted-seeming redneck into a really caring guy who saves all the people, and Rick and Lori are actually agreeing to let their kid come unarmed to look for another kid and all the mess involved with his current situation.

I couldn't help but point out several moments where the characters weren't thinking everything through, such as needing a distraction when running for medical supplies AND when leaving said area with medical supplies. The zombies couldn't be distracted forever, which was clearly demonstrated by the fact that every zombie started chasing them once they tried to get past the second time.

I feel as if this episode has less of a zing and isn't nearly as interesting as the previous season, but I'm holding out hope. After all, this series isn't just about the zombies. It's about the survivors as well.

  9. Another awesome one for me. Loved the contrast of when Rick was shot and Carl's predicament. Also liked the expedition of how the group is splintering (with a nice forward movement in the character of Darryl - albeit a bit quick? but no matter still my fave character). Nice cliffhanger for Shane and Otis who I hope make it, and wonder wha the dynamic of the groups will be once they are all in one spot.

  10. it was a bit better than a premiere, I like it :) The 1/2 hour extra of the premiere was too much^^; it pretty much added 1/2 hour of nothing

But the second episode was a full 1 hour of something happening, more or less :)...but still not awesome

  11. YEah lol I feel like they are shoving this Rick/Shane thing down my throat ahha. like okay FINE. talk about bromance they are pushing it HAHHA!

  12. lol for me its the opposite. Liked the premier and this was a big 45min of nothing.
really it ended and i thought it had started 15min ago. Seriously they are still searching the damn little girl? wth. anyway. I dont think i can watch this show until all the eps are out. Even last year nothing much happened in the ep but if you watch it at once then its awesome, like a big movie lol

  13. I'm always playing at games while watching episode ayways, it just my soundrack :P so if I vote 'great' for an episode is like voting Poor for any other show. this whole show is pretty much nothing, so I don't mind having some up and down

it's just giving me more time to give more attention on my game and not being kill xD

  14. ! Me too AHHAH! gosh my friends think im crazy for doing that haha. and i read fanfic cause i need a sountrack in the background. LOL sorry for that, happy to know im not alone :P
I mean at one point I just went.. wait a minute no more sound? its over wtf ahhaa.

Though I love this show aah. I did watch season 1 all at once i think thats why i love it that much cause seriously i cant keep watch a whole season about "finding the little girl and getting the health supply" that is devided in 6 parts 1 per week. hell no

    shutting up now

  15. Liked this episode a lot and thought it was an improvement over the season premiere. It had a good mix of well-written drama and cool zombie action.

Daryl was involved in the best scenes again. The first one was when Maggie found the group and Daryl shot this zombie that attacked Andrea saying "Shut up!". The second one was when he got the drugs. Did I see some of Walter White's blue meth in that bag?
He's really becoming the group's second leader this season.

Luke Wilson as Hershel was great, he did an awesome job and I can't wait to see more of him. Still not sure how they adapted his family. Is Maggie his only surviving child on the TV show? In the comics they family was a lot bigger. I also saw this "Jimmy" kid, maybe he's supposed to be Billy, but where's the rest? Why leave them out? They could have at least been zombie food.

Interesting development with T-Dog. Things are not looking good for him and I'm almost convinced that he will die from that wound, mainly to show something important that was in the comics, but I better not mention it here to spoil something for people who aren't familiar with the comics.

  16. I think Hershel said his 3 girls survived, but I did not hear about any boys...

I watched the Talking Dead and Kirkman said that he actually has zombies move at varying speeds. He sees it like the fresher the zombie, the more motor control it has and the faster it can chase.

If you have not watched that post-show Talking Dead you may find it interesting. I do. Every week they have a comedian or two on discussing the episode and interviews with the creative team(so far just Kirkman).

  17. I meant to watch the Talking Dead show, but didn't check it out so far.

  18. I found the first installment of Talking Dead to be really lame and not of much substance. This second one was an improvement, but I hope it continues to get better.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I liked, sort of, the first Talking Dead. Had to miss last night's. Don't know if the zombies are fast, but MAN are they dumb. "Oooh sparkly flares. Let's all go over there."

  20. Just wondering, what did Jenner tell Rick? Lori sure does not look pregnant, so that's not it. Maybe it really isn't that important.

  21. Oh I don't think it's great by any stretch, but between the jokes there is a few nuggets of fun info.

  22. Liked this episode a hole lotta more than the season Premiere. The suspense was much more gripping and it hadn't had as many lull parts like at the church last week.
Darryl is growing to be my most favorite character. Only Lorri shouldn't be so picky about who should operate on her son.

  23. Maybe it's because I don't read the graphic novels, but I didn't expect Otis to survive this episode. :D

    ReplyDelete
  24. I got the feeling he would be around a while and a pretty big part of the second season. I can see why you thought he would die though.... I thought he looked to have a heart attack running up the stairs with zombies after them!

My though was he shot Carl and would want to prove himself and have a "redemption arc" for his character.,

    ReplyDelete
  25. That's what I was thinking!

Okay Lori, you can have the veterinarian operate on Carl, the hog farmer, the redneck, the gangster... or you the teacher can do it yourself.... I know which I would want operating! XD

I'd consider myself lucky to have a trained Dr. doing it .....

    ReplyDelete
  26. Exactly, I was prepared to see him self-sacrifice for what he did to Carl. Get the needed equipment and buy Shane enough time to escape.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yeah, Lori needs to chill out.  Vets can do anything!  Has she not seen Prison Break?
    :-D
