  1. I'm having a hard time understanding this crystal thing. Random schoolgirl dies: Faye's mom uses crystal. Nick dies: no one uses the crystal. Henry's dead: grandma races to use the crystal.

  2. They couldn't revive Nick with the crystal because a) he was possessed by a demon so the demon would have been revived as well, b) the crystal Dawn and Charles had was out of juice.

  3. But they already drowned the demon, it would just be reviving Nick. Besides, Grandma knew how to use the crystal to get rid of it… she was performing some sort of ritual on Melissa before it entered Nick. And yes Dawn and Charles' crystal was out but, as mentioned, Grandma has a crystal too, the one she gave to Cassie last episode.

  4. I don't think the girl was dead, or at least there's a period after someone dies that they can actually be revived.

  5. We don't if they had already drowned the demon, but yeah... Jane could have done that. So, if anything, it's not a crystal problem but an intended plothole for dramatic effect.

guys dont forget everyone knows nick is dead so it would be pretty stupid of grams to bring him back from the dead. Also i agree i think she cant because of the demon. Magic is Magic. There might be another reason tho.

I thought this episode was pretty good, it gave a whole lot of info but it was also kinda confusing. I gotta give Jake some props to how decietful he's being he is really evil but he's hiding it and saving his butt in a easy way. Although I thought Cassie was a little stupid and nieve when jake walks into her with the knife I would've thought it would be pretty obvious that he was lying considering she has had doubts about him. Idk i just think she's trying hard to deny it because she likes him (as shown in next episode lol). I think it was Diana's dad who attacked grandma only because he is the only one that knows of henry (i think thats his name)'s death and the stones. +he and the principal were keeping an eye on grandma already.

  8. Don't over think it. The reason they could not revive Nick was that they wanted him off the series! XD

To try to place actual logic and analyze the shows mythos over it will not lead you to any more valid answer. XD

  9. Overall a pretty good and very entertaining episode to me.

I like the information that came out in the episode. Finding out more about "the night" half the circle died and the town's history in general is one of the better parts of the series for me I think. Adding in the witch hunters has been great so far... I like the added level of danger and distraction from the love-triangle.

I like the fact that Cassie has enough of a brain to not trust Jake even if they seem to have that "outsider" bond and an obvious mutual attraction.. They need that balance since Faye ignores history and her circle to lust after him and Adam just hate's him for because of their history.

It still feels to me like int the end Jake will have a last second change of heart and sacrifice himself to save Cassie not kill her. Maybe I'm off on that... I hope so!

So was it Charles (or Dawn) that bludgeoned Grandma Blake to steal Henery's crystal?

A few things bothered me this episode...
I had a bit of a WTF moment when a mom with a bunch of little kids walked by a boy/man carrying off a passed out girl without giving a second look. If I saw a passed out girl in some masked guys arms (even on Halloween) I would at a minimum do a double take to assess the situation better if not ask the guy who they were and if they needed help etc.

On a related note, it seems odd to me that 5 people who are always with one another and meddling in each other's lives don't notice that they are disappearing from the party. I might tend to keep an out out for my friends and circle if I knew there was witch hunters trying to kill us.

The more the series goes on, the more conflicted I am...I like seeing the earlier generation of witches in the town, both for plot reasons and because they are generally much better actors than the kids. Seriously though, how many people in this one small town are witches? It's turning into heroes where everybody had superpowers as they went on.

  10. I don't know if I am the only one but I had to re-watch the part with Cassie using her powers without the circle. She was so BA!! If I was one of the other witches in the circle I would have some serious questions about her but, maybe they talk to her in the next episode.

  11. Yeah no doubt!
They were all struggling and wanted out, but Cassie screamed and lit  a man on fire etc...

I'd be looking at her a bit differently too.

  13. My thought was they maybe thought they did this together. Because all of them wanted to get out. All of them have been in a dangerous situation and wanted to be freed from it. They don't know much about how their magic now works. If I was them, I'd think "well, I didn't exactly think about lighting that guy on fire, but doing anything to get free pretty much includes spontaneous combustion" ... I don't quite know if you get what I mean, but ... yah =)

  14. I think I understand what you mean...
Cassie was the focal point of their combined energy. They all wanted to get free and she shaped the magic into the fire with her screams.

As good a possibility as any I guess! :)

I just know they keep talking about Cassie having unique powers outside the circle or more than the circle so I thought that ability may have shown itself...

Either way it worked and was awesome! XD
