I thought last nights episode was great and I loved Lily Tomlin. Yeah I have noticed that Sean Murray's voice has been sounding strange since the beginning of the season. Throat problem maybe. I liked how Tim told Gibbs enough and it should feel awkward, he is speaking out to his boss and he rarely if every speaks back to Gibbs and certainly would never stand up to Gibbs, not like that. Gibbs was proud of him for doing that. I loved that Penny and Ducky went out together at the end and I am not too worried about Ziva not being in the episode, there are times when there is hardly any McGee.
I thought it was a solid episode to provide a bit of backstory on McGee. Solid, but nothing spectacular. It was certainly no ToC, Hiatus, Kill Ari, or any of the other really good episodes. But it is nice to see McGee come to the forefront a bit and the backstory works well with how McGee was when he arrived at NCIS and even how he is now, like he's not quite good enough. Well done NCIS!
Lily Tomlin wasn't nearly as good as I thought she'd be and Ziva was practically non-existent in this episode. She was onscreen less than Abby was. I wasn't too happy with the writing either. That "enough!" that McGee blurted out in the interrogation room wasn't believable and felt awkward. Penny and Ducky going out for drinks at the end felt tacked-on also.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
The episode was really awesome ;) The story of her red pumps ^^ brilliant!

ReplyDeleteSo it wasn't just me who wondered about his voice. It kind of sounded like he was close to tears most of the time.
ReplyDeleteLoved it! LOL at Tim's grandma. Sean's voice is weird, and I don't know what's up with that.
ReplyDeleteLOL at Ducky and Penelope.
It was nice to see a McGee episode! Poor McGee he looked like he needed a hug!
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen it here yet, hope its good though.
ReplyDeleteGreat part by Lily Tomlin
