Honestly, the episode was good. It was dramatic and will keep me watching based on my own speculation (especially over the baby). I thought there was definitely too little Serena and Blair. They're in the same city, no reason to only have one scene in my opinion. I love Monkey, he is the cutest dog, and I'm so glad Chuck kept him! And I'm so glad that Monkey was there to console Chuck as he finally started to feel! I cried my eyes out with Chuck! So sad! Personally, I think Blair is lying about who the father is. IMO, There is no reason for her to hide the paternity letter if Louis is the father! Overall, good episode, but hoping for more of the NJBC together next week!
AJOJOIJOIJGYHFVYHFV!!! Okay, at first I thought this was the longest episode ever because I missed Chuck so much but the end totally saved the day for me. I loved it. Chair interaction! More Chuck sad please! And now Chuck has a new best friend, exit stage left Dan (you have served your purpose).
nope Louis is Indeed the father according to EOnline (: that scene made me sad you can tell that Chuck was heartbroken from that could this be the end of Chair for Good? lets hope not
I'm with you on this. I think Blair is definitely lying. Everything about the dialogue in that scene and the addition of Monkey suggests we're in for another "who's the daddy" reveal at some point in the near future.
I'm also glad to know I'm not the only sappy Chair fan to cry with Chuck. :) These two break my heart almost as often as they lift it.
i dont think Shes kying Louis really is the father she only hid the envolope cause then Louis would know that Blair was questioning the paternity and thus finding out what happened Between Chuck & Blair
I don't think the evidence is in the final scene with her hiding the envelope. Like you, I thought that only showed she didn't want him to think she'd cheated at some point and was questioning the paternity. If you ask me, the dialogue between Chuck and Blair in the penthouse was what spoke volumes. First off, if Louis was the father, I believe the writers would have milked this whole "who's the daddy" storyline a lot further than the second episode. Second of all, Blair told Chuck before Louis about the baby? She couldn't have warned him AFTER telling Louis? No. She went straight to Chuck. Third of all, her surprise at finding that Chuck hadn't given away the dog and her line about fatherhood not fitting a Chuck Bass lifestyle suggests to me that she made that decision for him. She doesn't want to give up the fairytale...yet. Chuck said as much when he pointed out that having his child would have derailed the fairytale. Anyway, I have nothing more to go on than my gut instinct and a few more points beyond the above mentioned ones for why I think Blair is lying, but I'm convinced she is.
Well, hiding the envelope doesn't mean that it was because Blair was lying, because if Louis sees the envelope he will know that Blair didn't knew who the father was, so he will know that she cheated on him. That's why she hid it.
Why would she lie to Chuck only to tell him that some part of her wanted the baby to be his? Doesn't make any sense for her to lie and then tell him that!
Why keep the envelope? That doesn't make sense either. No matter what, that envelope will get her into trouble, so what is she thinking keeping it? She had plenty of opportunity to destroy it. Unless she can't let go of what it said inside? I don't know. I think she wasn't entirely resolved in her decision to lie. I don't know for sure what her motivations are and I'm not saying it makes sense, I just think she's lying.
There wasn't much room or time for her to throw it away with Louis at her side. Keeping the results with Chuck being the father would be the stupidest thing, since it could be found and destroy all that she worked for.
Now thinking about it, she has an out if someone finds the envelope and sees that the father is Louis, she can say that she took preventive measures in case his mother had doubts about Louis being the father, since his mother doesn't approve much of Blair. With the results she has all the prove she needs and it would make sense for her to keep the results.
Your guess is as good as mine. I guess they've given us a reason to keep watching regardless of the outcome. I still think she's lying, but I'm not really out to convince anyone else of it. Just my personal interpretation of what we saw on screen. Only time will tell...
It can't be Louis's, he's a guest star. If he was the father he would be a main star cause that would mean he's sticking around. Didn't the writers say it would be revealed in the fist half of the season? Episode 3 is way to soon!!
I havent watched the show since the beginning of last season, and from what I've read has been happening I'm really glad I haven't. I remember all the times the writers said Chuck and Blair were 'endgame' and would end up together. Really? Cause apparently she's marrying someone else and having his baby. Doesn't sound like they're endgame to me.. I think the writers are really annoying some viewers with this storyline and many will probably just stop watching (like I did). The show should have ended after season 2, they were the best seasons.
i love chuck and blair together but it's alright for them to be apart for some time too. it's not like a girl can't be with someone else when she has a baby for someone who is not who she is with. i think blair is telling the truth. i know sometimes she can be mean but i just don't see her lying to chuck about this but then telling him she wanted him to be the dad. that would be just a new kind of low for her.
Episode 3 is the first half of the season. Also about the baby being Louis and him not being a main start, that can be easily fixed. They can make him a main, we can recur over the seasons in case him and Blair break up, the baby might not be born.
At the start of GG I also rooted for Chair, but the way that GG has been developed I can no longer be a Chair fan. And to be honest, I'm not mad with this developments, it makes the story more organic and not with a fix objective, that would ruin the fun in watching since you already know the end result.
Writers did said that Chair was endgame, but that doesn't mean that they will be together until the end. They can still be endgame and this be their journey to that endgame. Or the endgame of Chair that they were referring to is not the same that most Chair want, in the sense that they will always be their first love and be always there for each other, but not as a couple.
so help me here, everyone went home without their phones? Just Ivy/Charlie realized it after like hours??? And They don't use passcodes on their phone or wait a minute Nate or the Brit gal are hackers too??
- The Charlie / Ivy story is getting pretty good. - Nate is already paying the cost of thinking with his junk instead of his brain. - That last scene with Blair and the envelope purposely made it seem that she was lying about the paternity of her child. - Blair was 100% right about Dan's hair. - It's highly amusing that Dorota is calling and texting Dan now. - I can't believe Dan got Chuck a dog and he kept it. Things have really changed on this show.
Episode 3 is the first half of the season. Also about the baby being Louis and him not being a main start, that can be easily fixed. They can make him a main, we can recur over the seasons in case him and Blair break up, the baby might not be born.

No one else can make him happy. Only Blair and the baby she's lying to him about can fix this.
