I don't hate Morgan as the intersect... I didn't think I'd like it that well, but it wasn't horrible.
I can see why they took it from Chuck though, seeing as how they want the show to go back to how it was in the first and second season, where he had to rely on his intelligence instead of the intersect. I think as far as that goes, it'll make for some awesome television.
Chuck has always been more than JUST the intersect, but he never sees that in himself when he is the Intersect. Chuck is more sympathetic to me when he lacks the Intersect and I think it makes for better stories a lot of the time since the story does not just rely on Chuck being able to flash out of anything.
Great to see Carmicheal Industries back on my screen again for the final run. Overall a pretty good ep, and finished well with the final big bad identified, Decker... But even for a show that does corny well, the first half seemed even way over the top corny than usual imho. I like that the growth of Chuck will come from seeing what he is capable of without a supercomputer in his head, but I honestly wish he still had it as even though I like the Morgan character, he was always best in small doses for me and I didn't care for it when they started expanding his role last season, and really don't care for him being the intersect and playing a bigger role than before, even though they're sure to differentiate him to the Chuck version. I guess I'll wait and see how the writers develop all this and am hopeful for things to gel better soon.
In what world would unplugging your Ethernet cables from your firewall make your network open to attacks. All he would do is break off the connection to the internet /head to desk.
The episode let me down a little. After waiting an extra month to see it, I was hoping for a bit more. I wish they'd waste less time with Jeff, Lester, and the Buymorons. The big bad for the last season of Chuck is starting to really become more believable. Can't wait for them to come to blows and see what their "plan" for Chuck is.
Loved it, Chuck doesn't need the Intersect, and I'm guessing by the end of the season neither will Morgan. What Ellie said about Chuck being a hero I think applies to all of the team. They do not need some super tech computer in their head to make them good spies.
I loved it! I think they did an excellent job with the new dynamic. Morgan as the intersect is most definitely Morgan as the intersect. Not sure how I feel about them loosing their money (though I suppose once they win they should be able to get it back, right?) The ONLY problem I had was the last scene. It was jumbled and unclear. The only bad writing in the ep, IMHO. I did get that there's some CIA agenda against Chuck et al..but I was unable to discern, from the dialog, what it is. Frankly I think I'd have been happier if it was a personal vendetta from what's his name. Beyond that...awesome ep.
it was ok..... I would think if chuck wanted to get an extention there would of been a little more to this episode but it was weak. I really expected more out of it. I am disapointed in the what the result was. I hope next week is a lot better. On another note the damn world series took all the credit really not getting a chance to give chuck good rattings
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I loved it!
ReplyDeleteI hate Intersect!Morgan. GIVE IT BACK TO CHUCK.
And noooooooo at them losing all their money and the perfect house!
I thought this was one of the better episodes in a while.
ReplyDeleteWell considering it's been a while since there has been any new episodes, I imagine that's not a difficult accomplishment. ;)

so glad our favorite spy is back, even if it is short-lived!
ReplyDeleteI actually enjoyed Morgan as the Intersect too.

I think this was better than most of last year honestly..... At least better than most every non-Timothy Dalton episode.

ReplyDeleteMeh. Morgan as the Intersect just doesn't work for me.

ReplyDeleteI loved it. I love what it's working up to and how Chuck is missing the intersect. Loved it all.
ReplyDeleteEspecially the baseball hating from Morgan, good timing or what? lol
Awsome epizode. Not sure about the morgan intersect plot. But i realy hate decker.
ReplyDeleteI liked it and it was a good epi, but i was honestly expecting a bit more. But sure Chuck is back so thats even better :)
ReplyDeletesurprised that Morgan as the intersect didnt really bother me as much as i thought it would.

I agree about the final scene. Did anyone catch what was said?
