  2. That was simply an amazing finale. Very satisfying but a bit ominous at the end.

  3. Isn't Mike still in Mexico recovering? Plus that final shot... did walter do it to force jesse to help?

  5. Man... gives a whole new meaning to the title "Face Off" after seeing what happened to Gus.

Beyond awesome, better than anything I could've hoped for! No clue how they're gonna top this in Season 5 but if there's any writing team I have complete faith in it's these guys.

  6. Great finale!!! Some will disagree, but I was hoping for a cliffhanger and there really wasn't one. A++++ though!

  7. Fucking A!
I got up extra early today and it took me forever to get ahold of this episode, that was an incredible torture!

Well, I kind of expected Gus to die. Mainly because Esposito signed on for roles in 2 other shows and Walt's main goal this season simply was to get rid of Gus. But the way it happened was just gripping. And for a second I thought that bastard made it out of that explosion alive. The last shot of Gus, adjusting his tie, half of his face blown off was a bit over the top, but the FX were great and it definitely made for a memorable scene. It's a pity he's gone, Esposito imo definitely deserves an Emmy nomination for this season, even though so does Paul again. Maybe Esposito can be submitted as guest actor.
Also a bit of a pity that Tyrus is gone too. Ray Campbell played one scary guy, I thought he was even better than Victor. Great addition for this amazing season.
So it looks like that only Mike is left. Will he be back? No idea. It's always been incredibly hard to predict things on Breaking Bad and every season managed to surprise me, but I don't have the slightest idea what's gonna happen next.
Walt poisoning Broc was also kind of a surprise. I actually never thought that he would be capable of something like this and even though I also didn't think that Gus was the one responsible for Broc's condition, I didn't expect Walt to be the one. Desperate times call for desperate measures and Walt doesn't seem to be shying away from a lot by now.

Waiting at least 10 months for new episodes will be like hell. Right now I don't want to judge whether I found season 4 even better than season 3 (need to let it settle for a while), but at least it came close. Right now this is the best show on the air and one of the best shows ever. Period.
Nice that next week The Walking Dead will return to ease the pain, but it's just not playing in the same league quality-wise.

  8. WOW. Walt is becoming GUS. He poisoned the boy! And put in danger the life of his neighbor! It was a Great episode, that's not surprising, considering its Breaking Bad. This show always get up my expectations. But at some point, the third season was for me the BEST one. Just because I love the relationship between Walt and Jesse, and the end of third season was all about it... Now is just about Walt and his descending to Hell, thats interesting too but in a different way. I don't think Mike is gonna be the bad guy in the next season... I think it would be a new character, but its quite difficult to imagine someone more scary that Gus Fring! I am gonna miss him!

  9. Oh my goodness, my hands are still shaking from the episode. It was one of the best Finale I've ever seen, and it gave me a feeling of closure for the whole series (so I feel like the 5th season is a bit Unnecessary... lol)  Directed in such a beautiful and exciting way... I realize now how smart was Walter. At the end, we also understand that he was smarter than Gus, he watched more steps ahead and bit him. Now, what will happen in season 5, when Walter have no reason to start it all over?

  10. Can someone explain where exactly is the Ricin Cigarette?

  11. Right, completely forgot about his neighbour (played by Vince Gilligan's mother). But when I watched that scene I also thought he doesn't care a bit about her and sends her in a possibly dangerous situation. Walt definitely became even darker this year. One more step on his transformation to Scarface.

  12. My guess for season 5/6 (however they decide to split it up)  is that either the cartel is going to play a bigger role or that the investigation about Gus and everything Walt/Jesse-related will haunt them. At least those are the only things I could currently think of.

  13. Wasn't mentioned. Maybe Jesse just lost it, maybe there's more to it...

  14. I've thought about it. Jesse said that the fat guy who works for Saul take it from him, but that would mean that Saul knows about Walter plan and I doubt it. If Jesse lost it, and someone find it... then someone really die for smoking a cigarette. Anyway, with BB, I would not be surprised if the cigarette come back in the next seasons, it seems the ricin is like a recurring character (Even when it never serves to its purpose)

  15. Wasn't the ricin in some kind of small glas capsule? So you can't smoke it.
But the whole thing is a bit of a mystery right now. If Jesse hadn't lost it (assuming he in fact lost it), everything would have gone totally different. He wouldn't have suspected Walt, who then convinced him it must have been Gus and Walt never finds about Gus visiting Hector.

  16. Yap, Butterlfly effect. Thats something that had quite an impact in the end of Season two with the crash of the planes.

  17. Do you remember last week when Walt was spinning the gun round on that table in the back yard?  It ended up pointing at that vase, so I'm guessing that's when the idea came to him.

    ReplyDelete
  18. If you watch that scene closely you can see him put something in his pocket just after 'searching' Jesse, so I think it was then.  Saul didn't need to be in on it as such, Walt could have told him anything, something about preventing Jesse killing someone else maybe?

  19. I was trying to work out that last scene, as it was drawing in on the vase I thought they were concentrating on the table at first and was trying to think when it had been used before.  As soon as I realised it was the vase it snapped into place XD

  20. Sure there was. It might be subtle, but there was one. All indications point towards Walt poisoning the kid. How would Jesse handle that?

    ReplyDelete
  21. If Walter is THAT genius, he'd planned it. He disappeared the cigarette so Jesse will think this is the reason that Brock is sick, which leads the whole butterfly effect, as Carolina mentioned. Thanks for the clarifying, It really helped me, pals.

  22. I loved it.

MY ONLY problem with the episode was HOW did Walt know Jessie had been kidnapped and taken back to the lab?

Anyone else notice this? Still, episode was a 10/10

    ReplyDelete
  23. He didn't have to know. Walt came to the lab to burn the whole place, not for Jesse.

  24. I have like so many thoughts and this episode but mostly I can no wait to see Walter's downfall in the final 16 episodes. It is going to be amazing and justified and Jesse oh Jesse when he finds out he will destroy Mr White.

  25. There will definetly be a bad guy of some sort in the last season. Think of it this way - there needs to be meth cooking. But after all the shit they went through to get clean, why on earth would they possibly jump back into the pit and cook again. I dont know but they will, that much i know :D

Also, I'm kinda curious to how will Jesse and Walt's relationship look like next season. This season they were separate, season 3 they were mostly at eachother's throats. Will it be more Jesse vs. Walt or Jesse & Walt vs. someone else ?

I guess we won't know until we know

  26. I think in the end it might be Jesse teams up with Hank and it kills them both but they take down Walter. Insane I know but something I can imagine. Of course this show has tends to keep everyone on their toes so who knows

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm imagining this show's last episodes having Walter (and maybe Jesse) being exposed as Heisenberg and like #1 wanted and the tragic irony is that Hank is the guy who's hunting him, creating lots of tension due to emotions being involved.
