Catherine Tate is returning to the show in February for an arc that will carry through for the remainder of the season (and hopefully beyond).
Tate will reprise her role from last May’s finale as misguided special projects manager Nellie Bertram, who was one of the candidates interviewing to replace Michael Scott as the manager of Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch (a gig that ultimately went to Ed Helms’ Andy).
According to exec producer Paul Lieberstein, Nellie returns to work on a new project and strikes up a “far from professional” relationship with James Sapder’s boss man Robert California.

Ugh. Not looking forward to this.
ReplyDeleteShe was the best of the candidates and The Office has been pretty average this season so I hope this arc adds something to the show
ReplyDeleteI want Jim Carey to come back and do some episodes
ReplyDeleteCatherine Tate is awesome. I had hoped that she'd get the manager job, but it's good to hear that she'll be back anyway.
ReplyDeleteI might be in the minority but I think that The Office is having a really fun season. I was expecting it to go downhill, as 99% of the shows do when the lead actor leaves but I'm still enjoining the show...and isn't that the point?!
ReplyDeleteAgreed, Outside of the R. California character, I felt that his 'finger lakes guy" would've been a good fit for the show, but he might be too expensive. lol
ReplyDeleteJim Carey would have been a great addition, but ya sadly he'd probably be too expensive.
ReplyDeleteDislike.
