NBC has purchased a new ensemble comedy from producers Courteney Cox and David Arquette that the network hopes will be a scream.

Ten Years, written by Howard Morris (co-writer of Lifetime’s recent Five), will track “the ebb and flow of a [decade-long] relationship for a recently separated couple in the center of a group of friends and family.” The show is being produced by ABC Studios-based Coquette Productions, which is owned by estranged-but-friendly marrieds Cox and Arquette. TVLine first reported the development of the Friends-esque project last month.

  1. Sounds like it's based on Courteney and David. WILL NEVER GIVE UP HOPE THEY'RE GETTING BACK TOGETHER.

I hope it gets picked up!

  2. Me too.  They were the Hollywood IT couple for me.  Crazy thought but, after reading this, I wonder if they separated so that they could get first hand experience of what they were gonna write about for the show.
