    It's hard to have an idea of how he'll be like. He looks really impressed with Jane and it's surprising, considering Jane was arrested for murder not too long ago. For someone in charge, this doesn't seem to bother him at all (but of course it's too early to tell).

    It's funny how it's Jane that seems to be taking charge of the case. Lisbon isn't in many scenes and it's Jane calling the shots. Not that it isn't like this everytime, but usually Lisbon is around. She's barely in any of the episode stills or in the previews. Makes me wonder if the new boss gave Jane a green light to investigate this or something? Can't be right, but still. Even in the synopsis, Jane and Lisbon seem to be investigating two different things (even if they are still related).

    It'd be good to see him act like this at first then surprise us later.. but I know better than to hope for this..

    & i don't think promos or stills are anything to go by considering Lisbon.. but it might be a Jane vs. Wainwright kind of an episode..

    Oh yeah, it's really too early to tell. It's just the idea I get when I watched the promos or looked at the stills. So often we were misled by promos!

    I think the new boss is intriguing, because they haven't revealed much about him other than the fact he's more touchy/feely and open-minded than his predecessors. He's fascinated by Jane and I wonder if Jane won't use this to his advantage. He understood in 4.03 how Lisbon had to watch her back because she was being watched by the big men upstairs, but he clearly said he wasn't going to change. Now if the new boss often has his back, this might lead to tension with Lisbon. Sort of like stuck-in-the-middle or the third wheel.

    We can go on and on making up stories of how he is and be baffled Thursday when we learn he's someone completely different than what we expected xD

    Me too! This is definitely one thing about The Mentalist they haven't really spoken much about. They kept us a little in the dark, probably so we can be really surprised when we finally meet him =D Only a few more days to go!
