The International Emmy Awards are like the regular Emmy Awards, except american TV series cannot be nominated here. The winners will be announced on Monday, November 21st, 2011. Here are the nominees in the main categories :



Best Drama Series :

Accused — United Kingdom.
Engrenages season 3 — France.
Under the Law — Brazil.
坂の上の雲 — Japan.

Best Comedy Series :

Facejacker — United Kingdom.
Benidorm Bastards — Belgium.
Breaking Up — Brazil.
The Noose — Singapore.


Best Mini-Series :

Mo — United Kingdom.
Millennium — Sweden.
Operación Jaque — Colombia.
靴磨きの少年 — Japan.

Best performance by an actor :

Christopher Eccleston as Willy Houlihan in Accused — United Kingdom.
Michael Nyqvist as Mikael Blomkvist in Millennium — Sweden.
Fábio Assunção as Herivelto Martins in Dalva e Herivelto — Brazil.
장혁 as Dae-gil in 추노 — South Korea.


Best performance by an actress :

Julie Walters as Mo Mowlam in Mo — United Kingdom.
Noomi Rapace as Lisbeth Salander in Millennium — Sweden.
Adriana Esteves as Dalva de Oliveira in Dalva e Herivelto — Brazil.
朱茵 as Tai Mong in 第三选择 — China.

  7. Does the US Emmy's not have a category for best foreign show? I seem to recall 1-2 Danish shows winning that award. Seems a little unfair not to have a retaliatory "Best US Show" category. :P

  8. Yey for Brazil being represented in all 4 categories. Not being in Brazil for 2 years I haven´t watched any of those, but I know Adriana Steves is  a really funny actress.

    I didn´t know there was an international Emmy either. Good to know. I´ll try to pay more atention to it from now on.
