  1. Sorry,i just can't believe they are willing to take the risk.He hasn't changed,so you know the drugs, drinking and partying is going to happen sooner, rather then later. This guy is train wreck waiting to happen.

  2. 90? Really 90? What's that suppused to be? A soap opera?

  3. This is a big surprise for FX...... but since they have the League which is on of the best ensemble comidies out now, in addition to other great shows, I'll reserve judgement for now.

  4. He was a train wreck when he started 2.5 Men and still did well enough to make it the top sitcom on the air for most of his run as Charlie Harper.

It's all about how he is handled by the show runner. If they let him be screw-up Charlie when the show starts, they can't be surprised when he screws up later.

  5. Cable networks do this with their sitcoms. TBS especially does this all the time; order 10 with an option for 90 and that's it. Then they run those repeatedly after the show is done with its original episodes.

Smart idea — but only if the show is actually good (obviously that's the same with ordering ANY show…)

  6. No surprise that a network picked it up. It could very well be a strong ratings machine for whichever network takes the risk.... or it could implode too! XD

The thing about the entire debacle is that Sheen has always been a mess. He was a mess when 2.5 Men started and will continue to be long after it is cancelled. Was he the most professional actor while on it? No. He did however do enough to make it the number one comedy (if not overall series) on TV for a number of years. (Anyone arguing it was the supporting cast is just silly. While they're great the show was based around Charlie.) The issue was not Sheen being a mess, it was Lorre no longer accepting Sheen as a mess after years of enabling him.

I will tune in since I loved Sheen on Spin City and 2.5 Men... he has great comedy timing and while is fairly limited as to his range, he is great at playing a facsimile of himself! The Anger Management role should be right in his wheel well.

  7. I giggled at that too!

Only thing I can think of is that they mean they have a 5-year option on the series if the initial 10 episodes go well.

  9. To summarize I will quote George Bluth from Arrested Development.

"That's why you don't fire crazy. You never.... fire... crazy!"

  10. Hmmm... I'm really surprised FX chose to do this. FX comedies are great, I like all of them and they are the best comedy line-up any network could have. Normally I wouldn't check this out, but because it is FX I will.
