I don't want to sound mean, but I really don't get how this show is still on. I watched it a couple of times when nothing else was on and it was just lame, mainly the Horatio guy...laughable.
Wind machine + cheesy oneliners + sunglasses on-off-movement + saving the day + attempt at "sexy" look. Argh.
Don't worry, you don't sound rude at all. I don't think the show as a whole is bad bad, but mainly this Horation stuff annoyed me to a point i had to change channels and I was actually curious to see if anyone also reacted this way to that character. I actually enjoy CSIs, they are usually fun and one doesn't really has to follow the story to understand what is going on: there is a crime and they are going to try to solve it.
I can understand that there are fans of the show, but what really makes me curious is to know if the fans of the show actually like the Horatio character because I have never met anyone who does and I know several people who watch the show. They usually all make fun of the character and say it is the only part of the episode in which there is (involuntary) comedy.
My comment was out of curiosity - I wasn't trying to be mean or offend anyone.
I personally really like Horatio, I can understand why people think he's annoying and sometimes I wish the writers would tone down on the sunglasses and one liners a bit because it can be cheesy at times but I still think Horatio is an awesome character and he is the main reason I love the show so much.
I personally love Horatio and the way he's smart and pays close attention to the details. The sunglasses - I sometimes wonder (and this is not meant to offend Mr. Caruso) if it's a quirk of David's - perhaps a nervous habit to always have something in hand. Maybe some day David will enlighten us. I can remember another epi where Horatio was almost unconsciously playing with his cell phone - flipping it open and closing it numerous times.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteThat guy has been watching to many vampire shows/movies. Looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteI don't want to sound rude, but if you feel that way about the show, ( for some weird reason) then why are you commenting on this page?
