Update:21:30 It appears this is False and was a rumour that was spread on Twitter. Sorry for the confusion. It seems the https://twitter.com/#!/CriminalMinds either posted it as joke or someone got hold of their account.
Criminal Minds: Gideon comes back for the season finale. It will be great having his character back.

Wow, didn't see that one coming
ReplyDeletewhat a great news
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteGreat news !
ReplyDeleteYeey!
ReplyDeleteWow.... Never thought that would happen! Very excited about the season finale right now!!
ReplyDeleteOMFG!
ReplyDeleteI love this man and anyone involved in getting him back! :D:D:D:D
The twitter actually seems to be run by a fan with a blog site so I'm not too convinced and it seems way too early for them to even be thinking about stories for the finale but hey, if it happens it'll be awesome.
ReplyDeleteAh, I hope it's true.
ReplyDeleteWTF?! If it's true, it's awesome. Maybe it's something envolving Reid.
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOD.
ReplyDeleteIt's a joke?? Why Gideon is coming back??
ReplyDeleteWhy would they let that asshole Mandy Patinkin anywhere near the set again? Hopefully it's to kill him off for good.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy, I wonder how he'll interact with Rossi?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sured I buy this honestly....
ReplyDeletePatinkin is not fond of doing TV series for any extended period of time and now he will be on Showtime's Homeland. It seems very odd for him to commit to Criminal Minds on top of that.
That said, he is the best character ever to be on CM so he would be a welcome return even if only for a few episodes to book end the finale and next year's premiere.
Agreed. I would really like to see him back, but I don't see how that would work out.Maybe it is just as a guest star, and as someone else suggested, perhaps a storyline involving Reid.
ReplyDeleteWhy the hate? :O
ReplyDeleteDidn't he leave because he didn't like how guns are used/shown on TV?
ReplyDeleteThat should be a good one.
ReplyDeleteI highly doubt he would be returning as a series regular. The spoiler simply says "for the season finale." That does not meant permanently, that means he'll be there for that episode. While I agree with those who say it's unlikely, I guess we'll find out the truth as time passes.
ReplyDeleteThe rumor I heard was that he didn't get along with the rest of the cast and that everyone was tired of him acting like a primadonna. But that was a long time ago and I can't recall if it was a reliable source. :)
ReplyDeleteIt will be good seeing him in this character again, even if its for the season finale!
ReplyDeleteI have to preface my reaction to this news by stating that I'm not up to date with Criminal Minds as I haven't yet got around to watching S6 or the start of S7, but this news? Would definitely NOT entice me to come back. I got through the first two seasons of CM despite rather than because of Gideon's character. I really couldn't stand his attitude and the way he treated other members of the team, and I was a lot happier once they switched to a team-centric format after he left, rather than the 'Gideon first, rest of the team second' format they had during seasons 1 and 2 (with a few notable exceptions obviously). My only hope with this news is that he's only coming back for 1 or 2 episodes and that he won't be a series regular again. I certainly won't be going back to the show if he is.
ReplyDeleteThat's great. I missed him;)
ReplyDeleteOh, no! I don't like Gideon! He's a great profiler but he's rude and arrogant towards the members os his own team! I hope he comes back as an Unsub...then I'm ok with his returning..
ReplyDeleteI heard it was because he thought the show was too violent...(which doesn't really make sense seeing as its a show about profiling and catching serial killers)... According to some of the cast members he got along with them fine and even personally called them all after he left the show to explain himself.
ReplyDeleteSeeing as how the show is only 4 episodes into the season I'm going to take this as a rumor. I kind of doubt CM would want him back after the way Mandy abruptly the left the show at the beginning of season 3. But I guess we'll see.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that was it. Too much violence and guns (forgot about the other part).
ReplyDeleteWell, IF that's true, I like it! I've never really missed him as a character but it'll make for an interesting storyline. I'm especially curious to see how the rest of the team will react to him, and how he and rossi will interact.
ReplyDeleteThank you for clearing that up. Sorry that it turned out the rumour was false, though. I would have liked to see him back.
ReplyDeleteI would have really loved to see him back on the show... it`s too sad it was a false rumour :(
ReplyDeleteThe thing is, the account this post came from is NOT an official account of CBS or the show. It belongs to a Criminal Minds fan blog, which was on hiatus until a few days ago. Whether the post is legit or the result of a hacking I do not know. But it's wise to verify the info with the show's official channels or by contacting CM's crew, who are all on Twitter.
ReplyDeleteFigured it was too good to be true. Would have been amazing, though.
ReplyDeleteFigured this might might be false - seemed a bit early to discussing the season finale.
