Sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that NBC’s quirky comedy — which last year defied convention by doing a Christmas-themed stop-motion animated installment — will deliver Yuletide cheer this season via a musical episode.
According to an insider, the episode finds the study group being forced to fill in for Greendale’s glee club during the always-busy holiday season
But don’t expect to hear Joel McHale crooning “Jingle Bells” or Yvette Nicole Brown belting out “Deck the Halls.” We can reveal that the handful of songs performed during Community‘s Christmas special will be 100 percent original. “Pop, pop!,” indeed.
As TVLine first reported, Saturday Night Live‘s Taran Killam will be channeling his inner Mr. Schue in the Christmas ep, playing the college’s kooky choir director.

ReplyDeletelet's try it before we judge,.I am gonna watch just because you know they gonna slam glee
ReplyDeleteI'm going to watch it before I judge. I've loved their other Xmas episodes
ReplyDeleteIf this was any other show I'd groan at the thought of another musical episode, but this is Community. If anyone can do it well it's them. Sure it sounds normal, but I'm sure that it will get weird and hilarious quickly.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Jeff's musical dream from the beginning of 3º season, so I am excited for it. Community Christmas episodes are always specials :)
ReplyDeleteI sure hope they make it interesting, because I honestly hate this idea of doing musical episodes everywhere.
ReplyDeleteNot exactly sure. I'm not a fan of musical episodes - I think the whole singing part spoilt season 2's christmas episode.
ReplyDeleteI think it will be great, Community manages to pull this kind of thing off really well
ReplyDeleteCommunity almost always manages to pull off weird things like this better than the average show so let's see how it is before judging it. And like emel yazilitas said, let's hope they slam Glee.
ReplyDeleteDef looking forward to this, especially after Joel's Emmy singing bit and the musical dream to start the season....
