Probably a good plan on NBC's part although Halloween weekend is not the best time to catch extra viewers I bet.
ReplyDeleteWill be watching Grimm here instead of on Hulu.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably a local broadcast. It's not on the schedule.
ReplyDeleteWould AOLTV report on a local only broadcast? I don't know I guess.
ReplyDeleteBoth series are on my cable guide so it's accurate for my area at least.
Well a simple look at NBC.com would clear things up
ReplyDeletehttp://www.nbc.com/
I just chekced NBC.com and it's on their schedule too.
ReplyDeleteHa! Yep.
ReplyDeleteI replied before I checked... silly me.
not a bad idea
ReplyDeleteThat's great. I can watch Grimm legally then and see what all the ratings were about. Probably the only time I will be able to see Grimm live given its time slot competition.
ReplyDeleteIt is if it's right before Halloween and you're a horror-themed television show.
ReplyDelete(That's how The Walking Dead picked up so much steam last year)
That's true... I wish thinking of the amount of viewers home... not the theme. Maybe it's the best time to replay it? XD
ReplyDeleteI saw it at my aunt's today "On Demand."
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't anything special, pretty much derivative and predictable, but I found it necessary to start the series, and I think it's got potential. From the first monster fight it was obvious this is in the same vein as Buffy and Angel.
The dialogue needs ALOT of work, however.
I think the dialog was the weakest part of the show too.
ReplyDeleteIt just lacked that snap. I did not mind they play everything straight (I actually enjoyed the lack of meta or melodrama), but you can play it straight and still be interesting . XD
It very much reminded me of Buffy. Exchange the female lead for a male, narrow the focus to fairy tales, substitute a reformed big bad wolf for a reformed brooding vampire, and then substitute male bonding for forbidden love and there you have it. XD
Ok it is not THAT much alike but it felt comfortably familiar to me.....
PLEASE? Chuck deserves some more viewers :(
ReplyDeleteIt really needs "snap" like you said. I felt like it was boring most of the time because I pretty much figured out every mandatory thing that would happen in the pilot. But that might be because I watch too much television.
ReplyDeletePerhaps I need to get back into writing. I would love to write a script for an anti-normal pilot (That also isn't the "American Horror Story" pilot lol)
I think I just figured out what Grimm needs (especially as far as dialogue is concerned)... Joss Whedon! XD
ReplyDeleteIt really is a lot like Buffy or Angel but it just lacks that clever Whedon-esque dialogue.
Just finished watching Grimm. It was decent but nothing to leave Supernatural or Fringe over. If it were in a different time slot, I might have watched another couple episodes before making a decision. Right now though, it's not good enough to make the effort of finding a link to follow it.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see Buffy at all in this except the destined to be a Grimm part that made me wonder why he didn't have slayer training before he was 12. It felt more like your standard cop procedural with a twisted perp to me. When I think of Buffy, I think of wit and snark and pop culture references, all of which were missing in Grimm.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Grimm...why because of it's simplicity..no twist and plots that fall flat, what you see is what you get.... only problem here is that it is at a time when there are two other shows that I am trying to watch at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI hope it works :)
ReplyDeleteI think that is going to be a major problem for the series too!
ReplyDeleteMost people can only record 2 series at once and if they already watch Supernatural and Fringe.... Grimm is SOL.
Luckily I can record more shows at once since I enjoyed Grimm and watch the other two already!
