Shana Goldberg-Meehan and JoAnna Garcia are returning to ABC. In a very competitive situation, the network has landed a comedy from Better With You creator/executive producer Shana Goldberg-Meehan, which is toplined by the series’ star JoAnna Garcia. The multi-camera project, about a woman (Garcia) who moves in with her husband’s family, has received a pilot production commitment.

ReplyDeleteShe's so talented, she has a really good comedic timing, but it's like since Reba, she keeps swiming in the same pool. BWY was nice, but completely unsurprising and shock full of the same ol' tropes, very close to been called generic sitcom (just a smidge about that mark). And now she gets into a new project with the same producers.
ish, I just hope that its fresh enough and doesn't feels trite at the end. She's a funny lady, but I've always felt that she could do more than just sitcoms.
Good to hear. I thought Garcia was under appreciated in Privileged. I didn't watch that show every week but when I did she did a good job.
