Hey Guys,

Yesterday was huge, the Supernatural fanbase split into many factions, some loving Castiel, some showing support to Castiel following his recent exit, some loving Dean, some angry at Dean for his action in the latest episode, some wishing Sam & Bobby were in the Semi-Finals instead. As a result, Castiel pulled off a great victory, beating his co-star and on of the two main stars of the series to reach the finals. For Dean Winchester, a lot of people's pick for the title both years now, the wait for the win goes on. An incredible 9,000+ votes was matched by the huge 700 comments for a day to remember for Supernatural fans on STV.

Today will decide who joins Castiel in the final, will it be The Vampire Diaries' Damon Salvatore, easily the most supported character of the shows multiple candidates in this years competition. The character facing Damon is Richard Castle, Nathan Fillion's popularity across the internet helping his writer/part time detective into the final four. Both have a chance to make the Finals, but more importantly, this is a test to see if they can challenge the huge support Castiel will have behind him. The penultimate day of the competition. Is. Here....

In the prediction competition, Castiel's win blew a huge hole in the competition, but JerMd managed to still hold onto the lead for one more day at least. Sadly for our long time leader, it is likely their bid for the win will end today as they can gain no further points. Who can make the most of JerMd's downfall? It's time to find out. For anyone new to the competition the rules are simple. Every day there will be a new set of polls between characters who are bidding to become the winner of the second STV Character Competition.

All you have to do is to vote for whichever characters are your favourite and at the end of the 24 hours whichever character has more votes will be the winner and will progress into the next round. There are three rounds before the quarter finals, semi finals and then the final...

Don't forget to tweet, facebook, google+ and spread the word about the characters and shows you love to try and boost your chances of winning.

    Wow, I guess I was the 2nd person to vote. And the first one to vote for my man Damon. I feel honored. haha. And while I've never seen Castle I'm pretty sure nothing beats the snarky sexiness that is Damon Salvatore. ;)

    easy day for me today. which is a large relief after the pain of yesterdays polls
    but i'm not going to talk about that anymore, that was way too crazy
    voted damon. i have seen none of castle but i love the vampire diaries and damon so he was an easy choice. actually, tonight i have just started rewatching the series from episode one with my little sister so i'm reseeing everything again which is nice. damon was really awesome back in season 1 :D
    although i'm kinda secretly hoping he doesn't win so that i won't have to vote against him in the finale against castiel

    Damon Salvatore without a doubt! Castle is great and I really like the show and all, but Damon is just awesome ;) He´s my favorite from Vampire Diaries and ranks really high in my favorite characters in generell! I just love his sarcasm and how snarky he can be !

    Voted for Castle. I don't watch that show too often, but he's a fun character.  I like Damon too, but the triangle with Elena and Stefan is weighing down Damon's character IMO.

    I had such a hard time picking but after all the thinking im going with....Castle! Nathan Fillion is funnier, his show has been on longer, he doesnt kill people, etc. Damon he's fun and interesting but he can never get a way with anything with castle on your tail. GO Castle!

    Yes, this needs a Castiel vs Castle ending.  Damon has no chance against Castiel, but Castle just might win since half of the dyslexic SPN viewers would vote for Castle by accident.

    As much as I love Castle, he's no Mal Reynolds. And Damon is no Boone Carlyle, imo.

    If I was voting for actor, I'd say Nathan Fillion, hands down, but as characters go, I think I'm going to go with Damon because I like the moral ambiguity of the character...

    Tough choice, but at the same time a boring one for me.
