Thanks to www.mycoven.com for the heads up

The untitled project, from Warner Bros TV and Williamson’s studio-based Outerbanks Entertainment, is described as an edge-of-the-seat thriller about a diabolical serial killer who uses technology to create a cult of serial killers, and the FBI agent who finds himself in the middle of it. Dawson’s Creek creator Williamson, whose writing debut was the 1996 serial killer/horror smash Scream that launched the movie franchise, will write and executive produce the Fox drama project.

  1. SO, Dexter...toned down to broadcasting limitations...that's a negative...but also a bad guy brewing more bad guys?...sounds like a positive...Kevin Williamson is great at twists and stuff so that could be a fun show, but I'd expect it to be heavily serialized...I wonder if it could keep up ratings.

Also, what are they planning to have this replace?

  2. I like the concept somewhat, but on network TV? I don't think so.

I will check out most darker psychodramas so I would check it out for a few episodes I guess. Assuming it even gets to pilot.

  3. This seems too dark for broadcast TV.

  4. Just hope that Vampire Diaries and Secret Circle don't suffer because he's got a new pilot for Fox.

"FOX has given the project a put pilot agreement, meaning there are heavy penalties for the network if they don't pick up the pilot as a series."

It seems unlikely with this statement and the success of TVD and early success of TSC, it would be picked up unless it is TERRIBLY awful.
