And yay, Bobby's helping them escape! But seriously kajsdflkasjdfklasjdflaksjfdaksdjfklasjdf.
Oh lord this looks fantastic. I'm guessing the broken leg explains Sam's solo hunt in this ep, although he doesn't look in a good way himself. He gets wheeled out on a stretcher while Dean limped under his own steam. Maybe his issues are mental and Dean's are physical. Poor Sam and Dean. They literally cannot catch a break.
Ok both boys are in hospital. a) how did they end up there? b) what's up with Sam? c) could Bobby look any more handsome? d) why did I look at these? Now I'm all 'can't wait for 7.03 and I haven't even survived as far as 7.02 yet'. SUPERNATURAL SEASON 7 already ROCKS!!!!!!
SEASON 7 IS GOING TO BE AWESOME AND IT'S ALREADY GIVING ME EVERYTHING THAT I EVER WANTED AND WE'RE ONLY ONE EPISODE IN AND IT'S ALREADY EPIC AND IT'S ALL VERY AKLSDFJASLKDFJASLDKFJASVKLDFJALSVKDFJASMKLDJFASDF.
aaaahhhh SO UNFAIR ;-; I'm trying so hard not to start a countdown for the 7x02 and now I want to be October 7th for the 7x03....torture torture torture ;-; Can we get past the next episode before being impatient for the 3rd one? :(
Someone's got some serious 'splainin to do! Don't like to see my boys in hospitals unless they are in suits! Bobby actually looks amazing in a suit (we barely see it!) but still somehow off lol.
I love to see the guys in hospitals... especially in hospital gowns *evil grin*. Bobby looked sharp... I wonder if he is posing as an investigator or maybe a lawyer? Looked too sharp for an investigator.
Aw, poor baby. I wonder how that happened and how long he will have the cast. I'm betting on the superior Winchester healing powers to make this a non-issue right away.
I don't think it is mental. In the water promo, Amy slams Sam's head into the side of a tree pretty good. Then he gets hit again in front of a motel room door. It looks like Sam could be sporting his own injuries, but I could be wrong. Who knows? lol I'm not particularly interested in seeing Sam in a mental hospital again... I struggle with Sam, Interrupted. This unsettles me a lot.
Just try to picture Jensen hobbling around on that full leg fake cast... Then, trying to scoot behind the camera to see what was shot and the angles without messing up his makeup... Then hauling himself back out for another take... etc. Poor Jensen... Lucky us!
Oh my god!! I want this episode right now! And Sam in a hospital gown on a stretcher being wheeled out by Bobby? Seriously one of my ultimate hurt!Sam wishes (that is Sam isn't it? I'll be so disappointed if it isn't...)
Plus this is the episode that Jensen directed and while it will probably still be a tad light on the boys--we'll get to see how he directs Jared and himself. I can't wait!
From the original clip that was shown at the comic-con, the hospital part wasn't present so I would never have thought of that at all.
Yes, it must have been much more difficult for Jensen to direct this episode. I'm sure that once the episode has been aired we will get to hear more of the difficulties he must have encountered, needing to act and direct simultaneously. Poor baby, in photo 5 he has two eyes as big as saucers and I'll bet that it's probably due more to lack of sleep than acting:-)
Poor Sammy too; for him to end up in hospital he must have been knocked about pretty badly. I wonder if they got hurt at the same time or if it was in separate scenes. I do hope it's not Sam's hellucinations sending him into madness or something, I'd much prefer for it to be a physical injury.
Bobby looks really spiffy all spruced up, although he just doesn't seem himself somehow:)
Hmm, I was wondering if this had something to do with the car falling in the promo. In the promo, it looks like the car is about to fall on Sam, but Dean jumps in front of him. This could explain the injuries.
Could be, maybe Dean pushes Sam out of the way and his leg gets trapped and broken. If that's the way things have gone, I wonder what's wrong with Sam though; perhaps he hit his head.
Actually this is a Sam-centric episode so I doubt very much it will be light on him but more light on Dean since Jensen directed. It's more Sam-heavy according to Jensen.
Sorry I was just saying that I don't see a Sam-centric episode being Sam-light. You said it would be light on the boys but I don't see a Sam-centric episode being light on Sam. I wasn't sure if you knew nor was I trying to offend you. I'm sorry.
In the water promo Amy slams the side of Sam's head into a tree... She also evidently steals brains. Perhaps she severely hurts him until Bobby finds him. I dunno though.
THIS SEASON ALREADY TURNS OUT TO BE FREAKING FANTASTIC!!!!
And we aren't even past episode 2!!! WOW, just wow. I saw this pictures this morning at 5:30am and my fuzzy mind went from "Hey new pictures!" directly to "WHAT?How?When? WHT!!!" What happens between Episode 2 and 3 to get the boys that hurt?
I was mulling this over and tried to gather all the facts: We know that Jensen is directing and that it's a Sam-centric episode. So I guess Dean getting his leg broken (AGAIN: HOW THE HELL?) explains why Sam is on a Solo hunt. Which leaves me thinking there must be a time gap between episode 3 and 4 of several weeks. Don't think they're going to let Jensen walk in this cast for more than one epi.
Bobby looks damn sharp!
The second fact (or thought) is, Sam can't be that injured. For once, if he had been severly injured, than Bobby wouldn't wheel him out of the hospital. It kinda looks like they flee the institution (as of why? Your guess as good as mine). And second if Sam was that badly injured he wouldn't start on a solo hunt the next minute, which we know he's going to do. I don't know, but maybe Bobby & Sam are faking to get out of there??? What's your guess?
Another question, why is Bobby dressed like FBI? He could pose as family member if it was just about to see the boys. So there's an investigation of some kind going on.
And then there's a picture of Dean looking really freak out. Could be about Sam. But a spoiler before said he's gonna be rather pissed than freaked. So why the big eyes? The Leviathans?
Sorry I'm all over the place with my thoughts, but that's what those pictures did to me. I though, I was eager for episode 2. Thank you Supernatural for again kripkeing me!
A thought just crossed my mind: Maybe that's how Sam's hell memories problems are solved! Maybe she somehow "steals" that part of Sam's brain and he no longer has to deal with hell? Cuz I can't see them letting him running around hallucinating for the whole season. One way or another it has to be solved. So it could be?
Fondly remembers watching reruns of Jimmy Stewart in "Rear Window" with his entire in the cast and wondering how does he go to the potty (I was a pre-teen the first time I watched a rerun of the movie).
Yep, now I know one reason why JA said directing TGND was much harder than WAB, LOL.
I was just going to say the same thing in reply to SammyWsGirl then I read your post. That could be it, perhaps she started snacking on his hell memories ( maybe eating brains is too literal, it could be that she devours the energy of memories or something. ) That would certainly resolve Sam's problem, and in an unexpected way too! It has to be fixed in some way, we don't want him to trail through too much of the season without being at 100% hunter ready!
I wasn't offended so no worries, okay? Honestly, since it also includes flashbacks of young Sam in it I don't know how much of a focus it will have on Jared's Sam in the present. What it will be for sure more of a focus on Sam than on Dean though.
Quite obviously there will be both boys unlike Jensen's directorial debut where there was barely any of either boy rather there was a focus on Bobby and Crowley.
I want to get back to squealing over the fact that we finally have Sam in a hospital gown after 6 season! \o/ it's a limp!Sam fan's wet dream come true. I just hope that we do get to see him talking rather than just unconscious as he seems to be in the pictures.
Hmm, I was thinking the same thing at first. In the promo we can see that there's weird stuff going on in the hospital, and it would be logical for the boys to investigate the case. But why wouldn't they just walk in?
And: Dean's broken leg would explain why he doesn't hunt with Sam this episode (I don't truly believe Sam would sneak off on Dean for no reason)
I still think it is probably going to be lite on "the boys" if the boys are Jared and Jensen. My guess is that we are going to see quite a bit of Colin in this episode... Sam, but not Jared.... kind of like After School Special. There will probably be lots more Jared than Jensen unlike Weekend at Bobby's... (that one both of them were practically non-existent), but a lot of the Sam-centric part will probably be flashbacks. Jensen was talking about how hard it was to work with the flashbacks for timing and flow... so my guess is, there is a lot of them. I would prefer current Sam in my episode, but I love Colin also... I just want a lot of Jewel so I am still keeping my fingers crossed for more current than past.
Yep, that is exactly what I'm thinking as well. The episode will be Sam-centric but like you, I have a feeling that it will be flashback heavy and focus more on young Sam.
Oh I would love more current Sam as well as seeing more of Jewel.
I should have put my comment above under this one... We said practically the same thing :-)
Did you notice that on the stretcher Jared / Sam seems to disappear just below his kneeds? How can a guy that big not have his feet breaking the plane of the blanket down at the end? If he was very flexible and stretched out his toes like a ballet dancer, Jim Beaver probably wouldn't be able to reach the gurney... I guess is feet could be flopped to the outside... but I still thought we'd be able to see them.
I also thought maybe he had his legs bent up like his knees could be turned to the right and his feet are tucked in to the left (maybe to allow Jim to reach the end of the gurney, but again it just looks too flat...
Anybody else think it looks like Jared is missing his feet? :-)
It's okay :) it's hard enough trying to keep track of comments.
Taking another look at the pictures...I see that you're right. It is awfully distorted not being able to see his legs and we all know how tall Jared is...and at the angle that the picture is taken you should be able to see his entire length on the gurney. It's way freaky
I'm looking at the pictures for what has to be the 20th time... It's annoying, really! We are barely keeping it together for episode 2 which is only two days away and personally I try to be (overly) enthusiastic about one episode at the time. And then they go and release the damn pictures and my whole plan explodes into tiny million pieces! Evil writers........
Hehe, ahhh... gurneys don't come in just one size, guys. They do make them bigger. :) So perhaps Sam is actually laying on a gurney that's big enough to fit him and that's why you can't see his feet.
Knowing Dean, he probably tried to get up on his own and ended up falling down, just trying to prove he isn't all that hurt or he's just fine when he really isn't. I can't see Bobby throwing Dean onto the floor like that. So I highly doubt Bobby did that.
No way Bobby would ever touch Dean! He may verbally smack him over the head, but never ever throw a punch. I can only think that Dean might have overestimated his strengh. He looks worried (over Sam, over the Leviathans) in these pictures. So he might have gotten up to fast and fell over or something like this. My guess is Bobby enters the room after Dean falls, cuz otherwise he would 've prevented it.
I totally agree with you Airbat! I was thinking perhaps that Bobby walks in just as Dean falls, but the worried expression on Dean's face could be Bobby telling Dean that Sam is in the hospital too... Maybe?
I can't remember where I read it, but somebody suggests that Amy might do some kind of Labotomy on Sam? I dunno. It's an interesting theory, but I don't think Amy works with brains like that. Not only that, but wouldn't she have to shave some of Sam's head to cut his head open? None of his head is shaved, so... idk. It's not a bad theory though.
I'm just fishing in the dark here... My assumtion was that Sam's problem has to be solved somehow. He can't hunt that way, so they can't leave him like that for half a season like RoboSam. So I thought either episode 2 or 3 this is getting resolved. Then again, what do I know :) I was kripked more times than I'd like to think of....
Oh I know, Airbat. I think we ALL are. I wasn't trying to discredit your theory! It's a good one! It could happen, I'm not saying it couldn't. I just didn't see any signs that Sam had any type of brain surgery judging by those pics... but what do I know? LOL Wouldn't this be "Gambled" technically since Kripke's not showrunning? lol Or do we not go there? :P Hehe
Right! It's gambled now ;) Don't worry I got you the first. I was just brainstorming...as much as my brain is gonna work these days. It constantly freezes up concerning all the awesomeness we get for S7
Yes that would be a possibility if you could see his legs in the pictures...rather it seems that it is just his torso on the gurney. It's very distorted :(
Actually it really isn't. I'm an artist and so I draw a lot. When a perspective is off at such a strange angle that it makes something look smaller or shortened, it's called foreshortening. With the angle that the gurney is at the perspective of Sam's body, his head and torso being closer to the camera while his legs laying on the gurney and he's covered with a blanket, it make look strange, but it's not impossible. You can see where the end of the blanket is laying over his feet due to it being popped up in two separate places at the foot of the gurney. :)
Ha!!! I didn't even think of that when I saw the pictures. Here I thought he meant mentally and creatively challenging, but I never thought physically challenging too.
It would make a whole lot more sense to me if we started episode three with the brothers in the hospital. Then the girl from the water promo comes into the hospital they are at and infects the doctor and he infects other staff. The brothers and Bobby have to get out of Dodge because the Leviathans are about to choke hold them.
Unfortunately this would only work if the water promo were for episode 3 and not episode 2 like people are saying. As it is, the girl would have to be in the hospital infecting the doctor. The brothers and Bobby investigate what is happening, which leads them to the Leviathans. The Leviathans kick serious Winchester butt but Bobby is safe. The brothers stay in the hospital until something else rattles them and then Sam goes on a solo hunt while Dean recovers.
Any way they do it though, I trust the Supernatural writers to keep us on our toes and the edge of our seats. This is going to be one intense ride.
We are getting all kinds of spoilery goodness these days especially since they played everything so mum before the premiere. Currently I am so excited for the second episode that I don't have enough energy to be as excited over these pictures as I should. However, once the second episode is over, I'll be overly enthusiastic about these too. Have to love the Spoiler fiends who are feeding us so well.
My guess is that Dean finds out that Sam is hunting on his own and tries to dash out of the hospital too fast. Only way Bobby knocks him down is if he is possessed by the Leviathans too. I still think that would make one heck of a twist and truly mess up the brothers' plan of action. Of course it is a lot like MegaloCas too soon so that's probably not it.
In the last picture of Bobby, he's looking down, so I assume Dean is already on the floor when he comes in. You know you can't keep Dean in a bed if there's something going on... and there's always something going on. :)
That's funny... My guess is that Dean is on the good stuff for the pain in his leg and he tries to get up and hits the dirt just as Bobby gets there. Then, Dean heads for the exit and Bobby "steals" Sam. I am so excited for this episode... I usually don't get excited for two episodes at once. This is great!!!! HOSPITALIZED WINCHESTERS!!!!
Kay... seriously Jim has lost A LOT of weight.. That aside this looks interesting, though I was expecting to see some Jewel Slaite in the eppy stills. :(
These pictures make me want next Friday to get here quickly because with each passing week the show keeps getting better and better. This season is going to be one of the best yet!!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteBobby's lookin' sharp. It's a nice change-up from the flannel and trucker hats.
ReplyDeleteThey lost their healing angel. :(
ReplyDeleteAw, poor baby. I wonder how that happened and how long he will have the cast. I'm betting on the superior Winchester healing powers to make this a non-issue right away.

ReplyDeleteTelevision healing is already pretty fast so if anyone can recover in a week its the Winchesters!

ReplyDeleteDean in a hospital gown. Now that's one gown I wouldn't mind accidentally opening up from behind.
ReplyDeleteIf they still had a personal healer then we wouldn't get these lovely hospital pictures!
ReplyDeletePictures beat instant healing anytime:-)
Oh,trust me,I'm NOT complaining... ; )
ReplyDeleteIt was just an observation...!
Bobby in a suit , Dean with a broken leg.... oh boy!
ReplyDeleteI kno Bobby's lookin good!

ReplyDeleteThats horrible! :P
ReplyDeleteI know that it is a Sam-centric episode but thanks
ReplyDeletePoor Dean. No angel mojo to magically heal him anymore.
ReplyDeleteJust a crazy thought, but do you think Dean could somehow be faking his injury as a way to get into the hospital? Bobby could have been his "doctor".
ReplyDeleteSorrr
ReplyDeleteSorry I was just saying that I don't see a Sam-centric episode being Sam-light. You said it would be light on the boys but I don't see a Sam-centric episode being light on Sam. I wasn't sure if you knew nor was I trying to offend you. I'm sorry.

It's an interesting theory, but I don't think Amy works with brains like that. Not only that, but wouldn't she have to shave some of Sam's head to cut his head open? None of his head is shaved, so... idk. It's not a bad theory though.
ReplyDeleteI'm just fishing in the dark here...
ReplyDeleteMy assumtion was that Sam's problem has to be solved somehow. He can't hunt that way, so they can't leave him like that for half a season like RoboSam. So I thought either episode 2 or 3 this is getting resolved.
Then again, what do I know :) I was kripked more times than I'd like to think of....
I know *hangs head in shame*. Couldn't help myself though :)
ReplyDeleteOh I know, Airbat. :P Hehe
ReplyDeleteOh the boys never get a break EVER. And of course our fave angel can't fix them.
ReplyDeleteRight! It's gambled now ;)
ReplyDeleteDon't worry I got you the first. I was just brainstorming...as much as my brain is gonna work these days. It constantly freezes up concerning all the awesomeness we get for S7
Or telling that Sam left
ReplyDeleteThis is my guess.
ReplyDeleteWell, Dean just did...
ReplyDeleteYes that would be a possibility if you could see his legs in the pictures...rather it seems that it is just his torso on the gurney. It's very distorted :(
ReplyDeleteActually it really isn't. :)
ReplyDeleteTwo times in one topic! That's gotta be some sort of record!
ReplyDeleteIf it helps, I thought the exact same thing when I read geordiegirl1967's post. We can feel ashamed together.
ReplyDeleteHa!!! I didn't even think of that when I saw the pictures. Here I thought he meant mentally and creatively challenging, but I never thought physically challenging too.
ReplyDeleteIt would make a whole lot more sense to me if we started episode three with the brothers in the hospital. Then the girl from the water promo comes into the hospital they are at and infects the doctor and he infects other staff. The brothers and Bobby have to get out of Dodge because the Leviathans are about to choke hold them.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately this would only work if the water promo were for episode 3 and not episode 2 like people are saying.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is that Dean finds out that Sam is hunting on his own and tries to dash out of the hospital too fast. Only way Bobby knocks him down is if he is possessed by the Leviathans too. I still think that would make one heck of a twist and truly mess up the brothers' plan of action. Of course it is a lot like MegaloCas too soon so that's probably not it.
ReplyDeleteAdd me to the party. :( Sick minds... yada yada yada...
ReplyDeleteIn the last picture of Bobby, he's looking down, so I assume Dean is already on the floor when he comes in. You know you can't keep Dean in a bed if there's something going on... and there's always something going on. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's funny...
ReplyDeleteDean is so cute in that hospital gown :) even with a cast
ReplyDeleteHere we go again... :)
ReplyDeleteI never thought I'd seen Zettai ryouiki!Dean. Is this what fulfillment feels like??
ReplyDeleteKay... seriously Jim has lost A LOT of weight..
ReplyDeleteThat aside this looks interesting, though I was expecting to see some Jewel Slaite in the eppy stills. :(
Thanks for the info. I didn't know about foreshortening but it still looks distorted to me.
ReplyDeleteinteresting
ReplyDeleteThese pictures make me want next Friday to get here quickly because with each passing week the show keeps getting better and better. This season is going to be one of the best yet!!
