OMFG OMGF OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG WHY IS IT NOT NEXT FRIDAY YET. I was legit shaking watching that b/c now I'm really really really excited...and I had to hold back tears because seeing Cas be like that to the boys and Bobby broke my heart
OMC OMC OMC OMC !!!! I CAN'T HANDLE IT ANY LONGER... THE LAST WEEK OF THE HELLATUS IS ALWAYS THE HARDEST !!! Roll on next Friday ! I LOVE YOU SUPERNATURAL... MORE THAN YOU'LL EVER KNOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow! Why is it not next Friday? Really looking forward to this, I'm excited to see where they go with Cas from here, plus I can't wait to see how Sam is really dealing with hell.
There are some shows (SPN is one of them) that I don't understand how people can watch without a sense of humor. That was the funniest thing I've seen in a while.
Gee Cas, I'm kinda hoping thats the last we see of you, too. Suck in a few souls and look what happens. Delusions of grandeur. Wow. This brave little ant is looking forward to next Friday!
I am totally looking forward to the return of this show but not of the story this sneak peek set up. But, odds are, come next Friday at 10 pm I will be a lot happier.
I think I hyperventilated when I saw the words sneak peek. OH MY GOD I WANT TO WATCH IT NAOW. I can't wait!
Cas is a real jerk, now, huh? Very creepy. I laughed when he called them Dean an ant. I hope the boys get him back for taking down Sam's wall. i want an angry, protective big brother out for revenge. Come on, Dean! Don't let that slide!
I expected Cas to say literally when he said Sam stabbed him in the back.
I think you'll have to wait in a long line for that, starting with Crowley. This Cas is going to tick people off to no end and I find that hilarious. Best thing they could have done with the character.
Perhaps Cas will make good on his threat and leave the insignificant ants on this planet to their own devices. I think that would be good for everyone.
Amazing how even those who know them best underestimate the power of the Winchesters. Crowley may be the only foe strong enough to realize that the Winchesters are powerful foes. He's still alive. Not a coincidence.
I agree that Misha Collins rocked this scene. Playing evil must be a lot of fun for him.
Well, Cas doesn't seem full-on monster-souls-possessed evil yet. This still seems like a continuation of the battle of wills between Cas and Dean we saw last season. If Cas was monster-possessed evil, he would have hurt them, and the fact that he didn't, even after Sam stabbed him, means that there's still some of the old Cas in him. It seems like Cas wanted to put Dean in his place after the "baby in a trenchcoat" comment last season and his hurt at Dean's refusal to back him. The pets comment is especially funny because it's probably fair that angels see humans as pets - there's a huge difference in power. I have a cat, and I see her as a pet, not an equal. Does that make me evil? I love the way Misha played it - "what's the point?" *sigh*
OMG I love this!!! Cas is creepy!!! I loved the sweet old Cas and I miss him like hell, but in some twisted way I'm enjoying him like this so much! Cannot wait for the premiere, can you believe it's almost here? We've almost made it through the hellatus!!!
*snorts* is another way of one saying they're holding back some laughter. Then I joked and pretended to be all serious, then I was honest and told you your comment made me laugh. :)
I believe Castiel is still somewhat drunk from all that soul power and the concept of free will still ruffles his feathers. So that's were this arrogance and self-righteousness he shows comes from. In all his new found power he thinks "ants" pose no threat. Well, he knows the Winchesters how long now? Tsk.
I really doubt if Crowley would have consumed all the souls, he would reacted in that manner. He never had this "nag-nag-I'm-king-of-hell-and-you-are-nothing" behavior, that was just beneath him. He would have had a strategy and boy he would have seen it executed before anyone had any time to rise up and act against him,not some simple verbal comments, he would have killed the Winchesters on the spot. GodCrowley would really have been an almost invincible opponent.
What I think saved Crowley almost a zillion times is his patience in studying a potential foe and knowing when to take his leave to save his hide, no wait that's called "strategic retreat", right? :)):):) have the feeling Castiel doesn't give a damn about strategy, he wants it all and the wants it now. Like a baby in trenchcoat. The more I think about God!Castiel, the more I think the comment still fits.
That's actually what I expect, Cas leaving the ants to their insignificant games for the larger part of the season, but he will be back in later episodes. I suppose the episodes around the season finale will give us God!Cass back, we might not like what we receive, but it will to be a hell of a story.
It really shows what great work Collins has done with the character to be able to seamlessly go from tragic and still somewhat sympathetic at the beginning of the finale and transform him into a vile, delusional, merciless monster by next season's premiere.
I think it is funny that Cas was so pro-free will and now that MegaloCas is in charge, he's as anti-fre will as any dictator ever was. It will be interesting to see if this concept is ever discussed on screen.
Love your analysis of Crowley with the purgatory souls. No I'm thinking all kinds of fun things. I agree that the Winchesters would be dead before they could leave the room and Crowley would be unstoppable. It is true that his patience and advanced sense of self-preservation have allowed him to get as far as he has. I have no doubt that Crowley has a contingency plan for his contingency plans. It's part of what makes him so fascinating for me. Thanks for giving my an entire new line of ways to pass the final week of hiatus. I'm now going to be creating scenarios of what Crowley would do with the soul power. I think someone needs to create some fan fic.
He was being superliteral y'all. And yes, the wall thingie was a douche move, but was it ground for stabbing Castiel in the back with the sole intention to kill him?
Either way, Castiel is the duchiest God of them all now, really kinda hate him.
Yes, it was grounds for stabbing Castiel. I believe that Sam saw a supernatural, imminent threat to his family and this is why Sam stabbed Castiel. Not because Cas took his wall down.
At least the literal back-stabbing was mentioned. I was afraid it wouldn't be, like the killing of the nurse in season 4. Other than that, wow Bobby! He couldn't have rolled over more quickly if he tried. And I hate it that Sera had the Dean and Sam begin to kneel. These are not the heroes I know; it was quite pathetic seeing that.
Sam and Dean are like Crowley. They use their brains rather than letting an inflated ego get them killed. They swallow their pride all is the time to get themselves out if situations, for example playing the humiliating roles in Changing Channels.
I was also wondering about the influence of monster souls. From what little we've seen, right now I'm going with, it is Cas, but he's riding on a massive drug-like high from the souls. I think it's Cas because he still seems to be making things very personal with Sam and Dean. The choice of phrase "stabbed in the back" indicates a feeling of being betrayed by a friend. I think he's trying to mimic the old God with his language.
Actually, I was thinking Sympathy For The Devil, where Zachariah was actively torturing them, not just threatening them and Dean continued to say no, when in that time he thought the fate of the world against Lucifer hinged on him. In this scenario, whether Castiel threatens just their lives (personally that's how I understood it in the finale) or the Winchesters think he's a threat to humankind the situations are very similar to me. What changed in between then and now?
To me the big difference is that saying yes to Zach/Michael meant bringing on the apocalypse. Bowing to Cas just gets their knees a little dirty. By giving Cas what he wanted, they'd live to fight another day, as comicfangirl said, and possibly later be able to talk Cas down or defeat him later. With Zach, he probably wasn't going to kill them because he'd lose his vessels, but if he did, that would also stop the apocalypse (they would win by dying in that scenario).
Also, I think this of lesser importance, but they hated Zach, whereas they still think of Cas as a friend who has taken a very wrong turn and may be under an evil influence, but who might still be able to be turned around.
Another point is that refusing to bow before humans was Lucifer's downfall. Cas also started down the wrong path with refusing to bow before Raphael. If Sam and Dean refused to bow out of pride, this would send the wrong message.
I can't wait until Friday!!! Cas is super creepy and it was soo sad seeing how he was treating the boys and Bobby! The look on Dean's face and poor Sammy :(
I think Cas said the "you stabbed me in the back" part in a matter of fact way. As in you stabbed me in the back, you don't need to say anything more. That speaks for itself.
Soooooo excited for the premiere! Not much longer to go = woot!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteOMFG OMGF OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG WHY IS IT NOT NEXT FRIDAY YET. I was legit shaking watching that b/c now I'm really really really excited...and I had to hold back tears because seeing Cas be like that to the boys and Bobby broke my heart
ReplyDeleteThis looks so good. Can't wait to see the episode.
ReplyDeleteWHY ISN'T IT FRIDAY NOW??????????????? omg.... I'm so excited for this.
ReplyDeleteCas makes for a very creepy God. Sweet Jesus! Even knowing it was coming, I didn't think it would be this bad.
ReplyDeleteBackstabbing Cas well you should know about that . Only thing I want to see is you in little pieces .
ReplyDeletecan't wait, can't wait, can't wait...
ReplyDeleteWow! Holy cr@p! Cass's attitude did a serious 180. I'm so freaking excited for next week!
ReplyDeleteThis! I mean the nerve he has accusing Sam for back stabbing after what he did to him...
ReplyDeleteJesus, Misha brings so much intensity to this scene. A+
ReplyDeleteI'm so nervous I feel sick. Please Cas, get rid of those souls and go back to your old self! I love you Cas!
Hmmm... Cas, you have a lot of nerve saying "You stabbed me in the back" to Sam, considering YOU took his wall down that was protecting him.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, is it the 23rd yet? Why do we have to wait one more week! *sighs* :(
CAS NO!!!! STOP ACTING WEIRD! AHHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteno no i love this ahahah
nooooooooooooooooooo
ReplyDeleteHoly craaaap!
ReplyDeleteAfter he said "You stabbed me in the back" I was waiting for him to add "literally" :P
Ugh sorry got side tracked by Thor. lol All I want is my Castiel back. Not this new one!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! No words.
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS GOING BE EPIC!!
ReplyDeleteThe funniest part is that he told them that he used to think of them as pets. Now they're just brave little ants.
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! Looks like we get intense right from the get go. Got to say this Cas makes me excited for season 7 in a way that old Cas never would.
ReplyDeleteGot to admit I snickered at that one too. This Cas shares one trait with old Cas - unintentional humor.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Just WOW!
ReplyDeleteThis Cas is incredibly scary. I love him like this.
Season 7 is gonna ROCK!!!!
ReplyDeletewas I the only one who just laughed their ass off? Cas as God? I never thought I find it freaking hilarious but I totally did.
ReplyDeleteSlightly disturbed at how quickly Bobby dropped to his knees. Sam is so going to collapse at the end of that scene.
It seems to me that doesnt matter who/what God is in the SPN universe he's always a dick?!
I CAN'T STOP WATCHING ! FRIDAY WHERE ARE YOU !?!?!?!?!?
ReplyDeleteWell, Sam did literally stab Cas in the back with an angel-killing sword, so it's not like the accusation is groundless...
ReplyDeleteOh wow! This looks amazing. Can't wait.
ReplyDeleteuhhh
ReplyDeleteAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Why isn't it next Friday????? Can't...wait...that...long...
ReplyDeleteWow! Why is it not next Friday? Really looking forward to this, I'm excited to see where they go with Cas from here, plus I can't wait to see how Sam is really dealing with hell.
ReplyDeleteIf Cas by some miracle survives this and becomes human, you know he's going to be made to pay for those lines.
ReplyDeleteThere are some shows (SPN is one of them) that I don't understand how people can watch without a sense of humor. That was the funniest thing I've seen in a while.
ReplyDeleteFreaking Great stuff..... thanks
ReplyDeleteDang. I kind of want to kill Cas now.
ReplyDeleteGee Cas, I'm kinda hoping thats the last we see of you, too. Suck in a few souls and look what happens. Delusions of grandeur. Wow. This brave little ant is looking forward to next Friday!
ReplyDeleteUnholy freakin crap...this is going to be one hell of a season! I am going to be a very happy fangirl for sure! Bring guys, me is so ready!
ReplyDeleteEvil!Cas and Dean+Sam!Pets are now proven canon!! Can't wait to tell fellow fans on some weird community :D
ReplyDeleteOkay, Cass. Until the "ants" thing it was all fun and games my little deluded angel, but from now on you're just another arrogant monster. :):):)
ReplyDeleteVery well done Misha, totally believable "God", or as Dean said about angels once: "dick with wings".
Is it next Friday already??? Can't wait for season 7!!
What was he supposed to do? Cas had teared down his wall. Sam was trying to protect his brother.
ReplyDeleteI am totally looking forward to the return of this show but not of the story this sneak peek set up. But, odds are, come next Friday at 10 pm I will be a lot happier.
ReplyDeleteOMFG!!! Caaasss!! I want friday...NOW!!!!
ReplyDeleteCas!! Y_____Y

I want it to be Friday right now.
so much this! He needs to pay for that! He deserved to be stabbed. Pity it didn't work.
ReplyDeleteHe totally deserved it. He took down Sam's wall, and for all Sam knew he would go after Dean and Bobby. He was trying to protect them.
ReplyDeleteOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG
ReplyDeleteOMFC
Favorite pets^^ that is a little harsh ^^
ReplyDeleteI think it's payback for the condescending "baby in a trenchcoat" comment.

ReplyDeleteI mean... condescending!? Come now, chris! ;)
I'm not sure how to take the "snorts" comment. Laughing's good. I think there's supposed to be humor in all of this.
ReplyDelete*snorts* is another way of one saying they're holding back some laughter. Then I joked and pretended to be all serious, then I was honest and told you your comment made me laugh. :)

Whoa, he even sounds different, even a little prissy. I'm serously thinking that it mightn not even be primarely Castiel.
ReplyDeleteAnd Whoa, Castiel maybe had a composite event and has become Alpha, maybe.
BUT Y U KILL TARA!
He was being superliteral y'all. And yes, the wall thingie was a douche move, but was it ground for stabbing Castiel in the back with the sole intention to kill him?
